Pushchairs
Toddler seat for Nipper 360
tabbycat7 · 23/07/2011 20:34
In my internet trawlings while DS3 is resisting sleep I have discovered that some folks make a little detachable seat that attaches to the front of the pushchair so a walking child can rest his little legs if he gets tired. However they seem to be made for particular pushchairs, ie if you have the pushchair x, you can also buy the little seat made by the same people for that pushchair. What I have been unable to find out is whether there is a universal one that fit on my Nipper or whether any of the others will fit it. Do any of you pushchair ladies know? I have a buggy board on the back :) it just would be nice to have an option for when ds1 is tired too.
Thanks :)

There isn't one for the Nipper. Like you say specific brands make seats to fit their pushchairs. There probably are universal ones for say coach built or large prams but I don't know of one to fit a main brand double pushchair.

nope, there are no universal ones for that type of pushchair
baby jogger used to make one for the single pushchairs, but it was recalled and i don't think it has been re-released yet
aside from that you've got the abc buggy or the easylife which both can have toddler seats. or the valco with its joey seat... none of these are available to buy new in the uk though, you would need to import, or get one from ebay

Just to add there are Strolliriders and Buggypods if you want to look those up. The strollirider is probably the best but the handles are quite low. Buggypods attach to the side of a pushchair thus increasing the width which isn't ideal when you already have a double and I have heard stories of them collapsing crossing roads and going up/down kerbs. You can get buggy boards with steps or seats too.

Thanks for your help. I suspected as much! It looks like ds2 will be riding on the footrest when ds1 is tired : )
