Restoring a Silver Cross

I've rescued an abandoned and unloved Grosvenor which is in okay shape but I'd live to make it shiny and sparkly again.

Has anyone restored a Silver Cross? Any tips? Are bits and pieces easy to pick up? Will Silver Cross themselves be able to help?

There's often bits for sale on eBay...Plus Silver Cross sell spares but not for a Grosvenor though parts might be interchangable.
