Hi, I have this pushchair in the Anis colours which are yellow/grey/black and I have found the yellow really attracts insects. The whole hood is bright yellow and every minute I have to sweep the flying insects off it otherwise it looks really unsightly and make me feel nervous not knowing what sort of insects will land on it. I find it strange that a company would make a pushchair in these colours, I really didnt think about it when I bought it but now I have to pay £50 to buy a new hood in a different colour to stop this silliness.
Have other companies made yellow pushchairs?

Has anyone else has this issue and do you really think I should have to pay for a new hood to keep my 5 month old safe? The company suggested I put a insect net over it, but I really don't want to do this every single time I go out on a sunny day, surely my baby is entitled to fresh free flowing air?

Bugaboo yellow hoods are the same.
I would never have thought about asking for refund or compensation for this problem. Don't ask you don't get though Grin

I find it happens with red hoods too.

Chicco used to do a yellow stroller so it's not just them, to be fair it's not really their fault I doubt they test it for insect attraction... I'd be more concerned if it fell apart or something but I guess it's your PFB in which case you are fine to be thinking they did you wrong :o

How about the shade maker? Not so pretty but cheaper and look out for jane slalom fabrics on Ebay.

Think yourself lucky you don't own this :o

Grass and flowers I dread to think what would be attracted to that...

Guildfordnanny · 07/07/2011 11:47

Ahh but this grass and flowers pushchair is stunning

DingleDangleDiva · 07/07/2011 11:50

Tis quite pretty Guildford but can you imagine how dirty it would get! You would be scared to use it or leave it in the hallway without a pristine washed, pressed and ironed dust sheet over the top :o

Ooh, I love the slalom r in anis, and personally thought the grass Jane was funky too!
I've a yellow pram too and haven't noticed it particularly attracting insects. Mine came with a zip in insect net anyway though the pram I have comes with that accessory whatever colour you buy.
Just out of interest do you dress your baby in sombre colours to avoid attracting insects too?
