Pushchairs
Baby Jogger - which one?
SkipToTheEnd · 21/06/2011 20:33
I'm looking to get a new pushchair after a disastrous affair with a silvercross pop..
I like the look of the baby jogger pushchairs. It'll be for DS who is 2 but small. I need it for the school run, around town and on/off the bus. I have a maxi cosi Mura for the big hefty walks etc
But I'm not sure which one to go for; Mini or Micro? Does anyone have experience of them? What are the main differences?
I'd be interested in second hand ones if anyone's selling :o

Mini offers more comfort ie better straps, better padding, larger hood, full recline to flat (probably not needed by your daughter) and also it has bigger wheels and is marginally lighter. With an older child I don't think it really makes much difference but there are two Micro videos on YouTube which I watched before deciding to get the Mini.

I don't know anything much about the Micro, but have a Mini and it is ace. I'm a childminder and have 3 kids of my own, so I've seen a lot of buggies - this is my all time fave :)

BTW Kiddicare do their rebranded Mini, called the Metro. Last time I looked they were on offer. But you may also find some on EBay. I think the only real difference is the colour ie black frame and coloured fabrics.

I have mini, tis great. Not sure about micro, but if the hood is indeed smaller that would be huge minus for me.
One of things i love about mine is we have the footmuff as well which is waterproof, so we just don't need a raincover - just pop the hood all way over and he's fine.
Also v helpful when you want them to have a nap. I get bus all time and its great as you can fold with one hand (but assume that would apply to micro too).

I've just ordered a mini :o
Boots have 20% off and extra points online today only so I bagged myself £33 of points too.
They were out of black so I got green, I'm going to make a snuggle thing in a darker colour to hide the dirt though!

Did you use a parenting club code too? If not may be worth cancelling and reordering!
SkipToTheEnd · 22/06/2011 12:01
no..... I didn't know about that - will have a look :o
allthefires · 22/06/2011 12:05
Ahh I see if it out of stock now. Ignore me. No valid codes but the look of it either!
allthefires · 22/06/2011 12:05
If you do find a valid code you can ring customer service and say it wouldnt accept code at check out. They can then amend price

I could only find the parent code thing that gives you extra points per pound but DS is over 2 and it also says it won't be in conjunction with todays online special.
I did go via quidco which gives you 5% cashback too. I'm happy with my points, means I can go instore and get the raincover for free!
Yesterday was an insore deal - spend £30 and get £7.50 points so I went and got some scale I'd been meaning to get for a while. I'm pretty happy with Boots this week :o
I never normally shop in their either!
