Pushchairs
Need a new pushchair!
ImogenDale · 08/06/2011 15:01
I've just had my second child and I have got a rubbish pushchair. I need to get a new one and a friend told me to get a Norton Pure, she said they're supposed to be brill. Any thoughts?

The Pure has a similar look to the Babystyle Oyster. My sister has an Oyster and is really happy with it. The thing worth noting is that the small front wheels (the Pure's front wheels look the same) buckle as you go down kerbs or steps which is a pain but it depends whether you're likely to be going down kerbs a lot.
What do you want in a pushchair? Where will you go? Do you live in a city or the country? What do you think is rubbish about you current pushchair?

That Norton Pure really is similar looking in a lot of ways to the oyster. Even to the point of doing the different coloured chassis and the colour pack, even the car seat looks similar! The oyster is just a cheaper version I think. Do you have a budget?
I do find the front wheels buckle a bit on the oyster, but going up and down curbs at an angle stops that. Generally I really like it.
The one thing that looks bad on the Norton Pure is the basket, it's tiny!

I just need something better then I've got now, tbh mine at the minute is falling to bits. I live in Mansfield, so a town. So the basket is tiny? That might be a problem. I have a lot of stuff haha. But I really like the look of it. And it does have a lot of features don't you think?
Thanks for your help!

what about the new bugaboo bee ( the new IMPROVED 2010 model ) the basket is surprisingly large and it is about the same price as the one you have been looking at, which i think is very nice, but tiny basket, and bugaboo give you a 2 year warranty

The Oyster is £250 here using the £10 off code. It's been awarded a Which? Best Buy and its basket is a really decent size and easy to access. Do you have a budget?
