Bugaboo Bee slipping handles - can it be fixed?

'The latches that release and hold the handles on my bugaboo bee 2009 are loose and not working, meaning that I cannot extend the handles. The area where the problem is does not seem to have any nuts or screws so I can't open it and take a look. '

I've C&P'd this off the net cos I'm too lazy to type, but does anyone have a clue how to fix this? I bought off ebay like this and no I can't do a claim or return it, it was a private sale.

phone mothercare and ask how much they charge for repair ( if they ask if you bought it from them lie and tell them it was a gift and yes they bought it from a mothercare store), also i would google just incase there was a recall for this problem, either way i am sure bugaboo would be able to fix just at what cost!!!

have just googled and other people have had the same problem and are saying bugaboo replaced the chassis under warrenty so no good for you. i would contact bugaboo direct and tell them that you bought it second hand and this has happened since and see what they say

Bugaboo can be really Grrrr if you don't have a receipt etc. Unless you have proof of warranty then they don't want to know. Personally I would find a local or even national pushchair repair place to see if they can help. There's a place called Katies Playpen that do repairs via Courier for example but I don't know what brands they do.
