What should I get as a walking in the woods/snow/slightly rough terrain pushchair that's cheap second hand?

I'm thinking less than £50 second hand.

Doesn't need to be able to do anything fancy, just cope with things my normal pushchair can't. Well it could cope with some things but I don't like it getting dirty. Blush I don't want permanently fixed wheels though.

Ones I've seen are b-smart and vigour.

Do I need 3 wheels rather than 4?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks! Smile

VIGOUR 3 NOT a bsmart (awful in comparison)
A NIPPER INSTEP I WOULD HAVE SAID,BUT IT DOES HAVE FIXED WHEELS......(sorry for caps)
a mutsy
or....ummmmm.....let me think.............

Urban detour, dirt cheap, 3 big air filled wheels, can be fixed or swivel.

I picked up a perfectly good Quinny Speedi on Gumtree for £40 recently. It's fab off road and seems really comfortable for DD too.

agree with V thats the one i was trying to think of!!

although the vigour will also RF....

I have an irrational hatred of urban detours and I don't know why! Blush

A vigour it is I think! Grin

Does anyone feel like breaking this news to my DP for me? Wink

Hee hee...My DH doesn't seem to bat an eyelid these days.

I love my urban detour, I got it for £15 on ebay, it already had slime in 2 wheels, the other one soon went flat, so we slimed it too and it's perfect. I like the angles of it, it's brill, wish I had gotten one from the start.

The only thing I would say is that it has a life of it's own, ds'2 ended up in the river after I forgot to put the brakes on Blush, thankfully it was a slight incline with a 2 inch river.

You did ask for a pram that was under £50 second hand tbh, I don't like the vigour the basket is crap, I need a good basket.

I can't imagine paying more than £200 for any kind of pushchair, second hand or not, it does a job, the rest is just fashion, pointless in the extreme.

sorry double post.

I bought a double nipper (out n about?) For £50 out of our local paper for dog walking. Very similar to urban detour but front wheel could be fixed or swivel.

Loved it, was lovely to push, light, storage space underneath reasonable, hard wearing, tyres took a lot of battering but lasted well; especially as through the winter they were always 2 inches thick in mud! seats reclined independently, lovely big hood. Could easily get it in the boot of my galaxy with a massive Labrador

3 wheels were much better than 4 when 'off roading'

Was a bit of a pushchair slut; at one point I had 6 at home! But this was my favourite most of the time.

Completely loved y Urban Detour - best pushchair to push ever! Swivel wheel made it v light and easy to push and steer, adn v comfy for dc. Can take it anywhere. wheels are removable. LOVE IT!

I did have an urban detour but I hated it, it always surprises me when people say they love it. But then I suppose if we all wanted the same one there wouldn't be a million pushchairs on the market.

I'll look out for nippers, I hadn't actually thought of that. Thanks Smile
