How do I get the cover off the hood of a Stokke Xplory?

Anyone know? I've managed to detach the hood thing off the chassis but I can't work out how to remove the fabric bit from the plastic. Have googled. There doesn't seem to be anything in the manual about it.

I've got the 2009 version if that makes a difference.

Thanks.

You usually can't take the fabric off the hood of pushchairs which is really annoying. Maybe you can't take it off with the Xplory either.

The only pushchairs out of 36 i've had where the fabric removes are the Bugaboos...If it needs washing you'll just have to do it by hand all in one piece.

Ooh Suzie, I didn't know they came off Bugaboos. That's made me want a Frog a little bit more! Grin

Yes, that's why you get so many custom hoods...Though most are for Cameleons but they fit the Frog too, you just pull the hood taut over the back of the seat as the Cameleon hood is a touch bigger.

I'm sure I'll find out one day. Wink I've been going on about how weird it is that there are so many custom hoods for Bugaboos advertised. Now I know.

There you go...You learn something new every day Smile and [wunk]

I found out how to get the fabric off the hood eventually - if anyone's interested there is a square hole on the bit where the hood connects to the chassis and you jam a screwdriver in there and it comes apart.

Now I need to work out how to get the spokes out.

The washing label says remove spokes before washing so it can be done.

They also have custom covers for xplorys so I know it is meant to come off.

Luckily Bugaboos are very simple...The 2 or 3 spokes (Donkey) just pull out of the connector so you can slide the hood off...I didn't realise this until it happened by accident but if you buy brand new you'd have to put the hood together yourself.

I've done it now, (it was tricky but I managed it with the help of a chopstick - if anyone wants to know how, happy to explain in detail) - covers are all washed and just drying in the garden.

Hi bearcrumble,
Can you please let me know how to remove the fabric.

Thanks

Hi, can anyone help please? I have a Stokke 2009 version and I got my cover of my hood only because the plastic rod in the hood broke! Can I get a replacement rod? Thanks.:-)

Also Bearcrumble if you're still there I'd like to know in detail how to remove the fabric please. Thankyou.
