A pushchair that can be used from newborn, with a carrycot or similar, car seat.

It needs to be light to push, turn on a dime, compact, forward and rear facing, usable with a buggy board, big hood, decent basket to put lots of stuff under.

Ok think thats it Grin

suzie38 · 17/05/2011 22:44

Honeydragon · 17/05/2011 23:00

I'm going smaller and more expensive Confused

I am currntly buying lottery tickets as I really want a go with one of these I remember the old '80's Aprica strollers and this looks brill!

Seriously op, you need a Bee though Smile

suzie38 · 17/05/2011 23:02

I know as i was a bit disappointed...I could see the RIGG in the distance and was willing the cars in front to get a move on, then saw it was BRIGG instead...PS I've bought a vintage Mothercare pushchair off eBay this morning Blush

suzie38 · 17/05/2011 23:05

We had a great thread going about Aprica's awhile back and Combi do a similar one...As a result i now have a Graco Flip It courtousy of FriggFRIGG!!!

Honeydragon · 17/05/2011 23:22

how is the flip it? Is it easy to steer flipped in rf?

suzie38 · 17/05/2011 23:27

Only used it a couple of times as it's my day out pushchair if there's a risk of needing to leave it somewhere unattended...Rear steering ok as i got used to it with my Frog.

FriggFRIGG · 18/05/2011 07:42

i think we need to start a thread where me honydragon suzie38 and any other buggy addicts can come and air our sins Grin
we keep tking over other peoples threads Blush
my micralite is coming today

Honeydragon · 18/05/2011 09:39

Ok op got that given your specifications - it's a bee.

Wink

And this is from 3 people who've tried a obscene amount of prams.

MadameAdelaide · 18/05/2011 10:00

the bee doesn't have a hard carrycot though, and seat seems very low down for a newborn IMHO

i LOVE the Britax B Smart 4 - nice roomy seat which goes both ways, big basket, big wheels at the back, separate carrycot and compatible with britax car seats, oh and looks gorgeous!

FriggFRIGG · 18/05/2011 10:31

the britax b smart is flimsy and wobbly,IMHO.and the brake often gets stuck so you have to click it about 100 tiimes before it works again ...

MadameAdelaide · 18/05/2011 10:37

i really wonder why bugaboo don't make a hard carrycot for the bee it would be perfect then.
i would love a bee really but i'm not sure it would have coped with all the snow and ice last winter

FriggFRIGG · 18/05/2011 10:40

hmmm, yes a hard carrycot set higher up the frame would be perfect...
its okay on the snow,it's no frog though...

Honeydragon · 18/05/2011 12:00

Vigour has the carry cot option which is ideal but it depends how compact the op wants.

This is why when both dcs were tiny I opted for the old style pliko with carry cot, then sold them off once they were sitting up. I wish I'd got a carry cot for the vigour tbh.

MayDayChild · 18/05/2011 12:34

My bee copes with everything! It was fine in snow but not the ice which came after. But be fair, no buggy could cope with that!
Actually my maxi cosi freestyle does but they don't make them anymore!

blueeyedmonster · 18/05/2011 14:56

Ok i'll have to look at a bee in a shop, thanks!! I'm not overly sure about the frame on it but maybe i'll like it better irl! I hope so.
Any other to look out for if I don't lik eit or is the bee the only option Wink

I want to get it right this time, I have had over 30 pushchairs for my dc and I think dp will kill me if I go through that again Blush

FriggFRIGG · 18/05/2011 15:06

i didint really like the bee at first either, but, honest, its fantastic! Grin

blueeyedmonster · 18/05/2011 15:10

Thats a good sign if you didn't like it at first aswell then!

Does it lay completely flat? How big is the seat unit (height and width)?
