I've had an 80's Silver Cross Vogager pram, Silver Cross Wayfarer, Silver Cross Wayfarer Lite, Maclaren Superdreamer...Think that's all.

One of the good things about the fair coming to town is the array of vintage Silver Cross prams on display with cute, chubby, elaborately dressed traveller children in them :)

rightsaidfred · 15/04/2011 22:15

Maclaren superdreamer is my current favourite pushchair- paid 4 quid for it and prefer it to my bugaboo

silvercross2010 · 16/04/2011 09:01

My Superdreamer is blue and green checked with a matching hood and apron...Think the stripy ones were the original Dreamer...A house i cleaned had a neighbor opposite who used an original one for their grandchildren...I saw a vintage Maclaren layback buggy on eBay but it was too far to collect it...But i'd love one as i hate the brakes on the current models plus prefer the layback mechanism on the older models.

rightsaidfred · 16/04/2011 16:57

Mine is navy with a white daisy pattern. It came with a white cotton canopy which I don't use. I have been asked a few times where I got it mainly by other parent facing pushchair obsessives.

It is lightweight, folds flat in one piece, rear facing with great brakes and room for a tonne of shopping underneath. I even get my toddler standing on the crossbar like a makeshift buggy board.

Why don't they make them like this anymore?

silvercross2010 · 25/04/2011 10:46

does any 1 have a motherecare with beads on the bar at front

When my twin sister and I were babies we had a massive coach built double ended pram. It was navy and had a hood at each end. It was beautiful. It's such a shame our Mum gave it away because we went on to have babies a week apart so we could have used for when we're out together with the two babies.

I am after newer sivercross wayfarer for my grandson, they are the best pushchairs invented, they should bring them back!!!

suzie38 · 18/05/2011 21:30

I've just bought a vintage Mothercare...It's suppose to be arriving tomorrow...Very similar to the SuperDreamer but has a built in bumper bar which i love...Also has old fashion style raincover...Will miss the fabric hood of my Super Dreamer not that my DD lets me put it up but it's there if she did fall asleep on a sunny day.

It is a new version of the old fashioned coach prams, has air wheels huge carrycot that baby lays in or can sit up. Just lovely, I would like a coachbuilt but can not do the practicality of not being able to get it in the car etc.

BikeRunSki · 19/05/2011 21:01

My mum still has the original 1970 green and white stripey Maclaren buggy she had for me. It has done my DSis and at least 3 of my cousins too.

icooksocks · 20/05/2011 09:18

Why cant I fnd an image of the maclaren superdreamer anywhere. I want to see it.

saoirse86 · 20/05/2011 11:34

icooksocks · 20/05/2011 11:38

Thank you, It was the one I thought it was!

I had a silver cross wayfarer for my oldest-borrowed it off my cousin.

suzie38 · 20/05/2011 14:33

B**r DH didn't hear the postman with my latest purchase, so looks like i'll be picking up on Tuesday, as no one home on Monday morning.

daniperry · 23/04/2012 16:52

My mum still uses my old Maclaren b01 (1977) the original maclaren! it's really old now and my 3 kids have all enjoyed it. Sadly the time has possibly time to sell, if anyone knows where I can sell it, please let me know. thanks [email protected]

sillylally68 · 25/06/2022 18:09

I am selling mine to get loft space, but it still such a fantastic design.

I have one of those coach prams for using round the farm. Love it just not so practical for getting in a car! Not sure on make, I found it in a skip 😂
