Footmuff for Maclaren Techno XT

Ok, so have put in my order for a Maclaren Techno XT.

Does anyone know of either universal footmuffs that fit well on this, or somewhere a bit cheaper for the Maclaren one? £50 seems a bit steep to me Shock

I do like some of the custom made ones but its hard to know what the quality and fit will be like - does anyone have one of these?

My DS is only 5 months at the mo, but I think he will be a tall boy so I need something that won't be too short, but equally have read reviews of some universal footmuffs dragging on the ground.

I know someone on here will have the perfect solution Smile I promise I have spent HOURS searching the net!

Make one!! lol, I made one for my Concord Neo as its a bit of a funny shape and I wanted a perfect fit, it wasn't too hard, and fits amazingly now. Cost £20 for materials, I made a faux fur one lined with fleece.

I second buggysnuggles as they fit up to age 3 or 4 and you can get good resale on ebay. They fit anything, are lovely and snug and wash really well

Will have a look at the buggysnuggles.

Anyone used any of these custom-made websites? Not sure my sewing skills are quite up to making one myself!?

I have a buugysnuggle and have used it for all my 3 kids ! it is the best piece of baby equipment I ever bought I think it was about £40 but fits all my maclarens( techno classic, triumph and quest) and was a bit mopre interesting than the normal maclaren ones.

I have actually got a buyer for one of mine which apparently has been discontinued. I was accosted at the gym and asked if i would be willing to sell it!

I never got on with Buggysnuggles because they seem quite thin and my DS was always cold and that was a waterproof one too!

You can get them for £30ish at Precious Little One.

I had a stay put blanket and liner for my DS on XT and I thought it was great but not much thicker than a snuggle TBH.
