Very specific pushchair requirements - can anyone suggest an alternative to icandy or bugaboo cameleon

DC3 due in June. I had twins first time round so had double buggy for them (which I'm planning to sell when I can get my act together).

I've been looking for a single buggy with the following spec:

Needs to go off-road (we live next to woods)

Carry-cot for when the baby is tiny

Has to fit a Lascal maxi buggy board because DS1 has SN and can't be trusted to walk all the time

Has to fit a maxi cosi cabriofix car seat onto the chassis as we already have one

The only buggies I can find that fit the bill are a bugaboo cameleon and an icandy peach. I was all set to go with the cam but thought I would ask here in case I was missing an obvious alternative buggy. Any suggestions?

I would recommend what I bought for my DCs - the Speedi with a dreami carrycot which attaches on to the pushchair frame when required - it has air tyres (comes with a little pump). The cabrio would clip onto the same frame. Not sure about the buggyboard but we did buy one at one stage though never fitted it - it would have fitted on the inside of the handle - a large rectangular space. Moreover, they are expensive new/ excellent quality though don't sell for £££s secondhand (unlike the others you mention) so if you were looking to buy secondhand, you could save yourself a packet. I will have a look on ebay and try and paste links if you tell me where you are (I am no good at links though so bear with me)

Note that sometimes, they write pick-up only though would prob arrange collection if you requested. It is a brilliant pushchair though honestly!!

Baby jogger city elite?

I've just sold my first wheels elite,

very much like a cam, you have a carrycot for when small, takes buggyboard very well, with the adaptors you can fix maxi cosi carseat on.

Just make sure its the elite one with silver trim so you can use adaptors.

I got mine for £70 on ebay and the adaptors were £30 (i still have them tho as buyer didn't want)

then you'd need a carrycot.

Much much cheaper than cam and seat can reverse when baby is older too.

One question though - I had sort of discounted the three-wheelers because I thought they would be unstable with a buggy board and a heavy toddler on the back (ie pushing up/down kerbs). Have any of you used a buggy board with the 3-wheelers?

I've had ALOT of buggies and the best buggy I've ever had with a buggyboard is a mountain buggy which is a 3 wheeler :)

Actually get a mountain buggy, definatly.

I would recommend the bugaboo cameleon and bugaboo board.
The bugaboo board is lighter and a nicer fit. You can clip it off when not in use, pop off the quick release wheel and store in the basket beneath without it taking up much room.
I like to use the snow wheels off road. It's a brilliant pram I really have tried loads before this one too. X

I love my cameleon however it is crap off road. the small wheels fill up with leaves/mud so you are forever stopping to dig the gunge out with a stikc. I wish I'd bought a mountain buggy (but when I had DD we lived in a much more urban place to now). I am considering some major overtime to get a mountain buggt terrain (but at £600 I don't think I can justify it)

The Bugaboo Cameleon is FAB off-road - if you set it up right - either, two wheel pull along position - or as I prefer with the addition of the two Bugaboo Terrain Wheels - which are large wheels - the size of the rear wheels - that click into place where the small front wheels go.
Then you have 4 large and capable OFF-ROAD wheels and your bugaboo is perfectly set for some off road adventures!
You really do not need an additional "off road" buggy.
Far better to spend only £50 extra on the Bugaboo Terrain (or Snow) Wheels and only have these to store when not in use - than have a huge extra buggy to keep just for the odd occasion I think.
The mud wipes off pretty easy after your outing too (I have the sand bases) and mine looks fine despite splashing through woodland and bogs or over the beach at weekends. x

I bought those wheels for using when we had the snow...They worked very well plus i think the Cameleon looks better with them on.

OK, DH has vetoed all the 3-wheelers for some reason. I'm concerned about getting a buggy with air-filled tyres because of the puncture risk and having done a quick search for reviews of the mura and the speedi, punctures are
mentioned quite frequently.

I do like the look of the first wheels city elite - there aren't many reviews of it around, not sure why? There is a shop not far from me which stocks it (and the bugaboo cam) so I think I need to take a look at it in the flesh to decide.

Thanks for the info on the snow wheels for the cam, whilst it adds to the price its useful to know if we do get that one.

Apparently you can get adapters for a Maxi cosi
