Can anyone answer me a quick P&T question re: carseat?
CBear6 · 02/03/2011 22:51
If I have the newborn in the carseat on top, facing me, can I put the doubles seat on the bottom so my toddler can sit on the back? Or does the carseat clip-on feature only work when it's in single mode?
Would love to have the newborn facing me for the first few months and I think DS would prefer the bottom seat but not sure if that configuration works.

I think you can have the carseat and a doubles kit on the back with the Explorer - we are getting that one. Not sure abt the other models.

im in exactly the same predicament!! the cocoon bit looks really comfy and nice but its just strange having them not facing you and they will be craning thier neck to stare up at you? is it the maxi cosi car seat that can fit on p&t?

I've checked on the P&T website, and you can use it with the car seat.
Here shows the all the combinations. You can also buy a car seat adapter for maxi cosi car seats as th P&T ones aren't that easy to find in the UK.
HTH.

I did it with a sport - just got an adapter for my maxi cosi - the only thing is toddler needs to get out first and if your toddler is v heavy you will need a weight at the front to hold it steady (learnt from bitter experience )

thanks 5inabed i think u have just solved all my problems, i love this peanut bassinet you can get, i could use that when ds is at nursery and the baby faces me, cant see that you can use the bassinet with the rear double kit on.
beckstar24 that sounds nasty, good advice thanks

I think I read somewhere that the weighting issues have been sorted out with the new Explorer (which has replaced the Sport), but obv better to be careful.

I knew my pram guru would know the answer :o
Thanks everyone!

Cake is entirely manageable. I've been spying some posh looking cupcakes in Fenwicks with lovely flavours like chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting and sparkles.
Ordered the P&Ts today but have forgotten what colour and the receipt doesn't say - will have a lovely surprise when it's delivered in September I suppose.
5inthebed · 03/03/2011 20:01
Did you order it from JL or Mothercare?
MMmm peanut butter frosting.
CBear6 · 03/03/2011 20:46
Mothercare, JL wouldn't/couldn't price match and Mothercare are going to let me (aka, the Mister) pay it over six months too. I got the Explorer either red or black, been checking out the pannier bags on eBay. Very excited now and can't wait to take it for a spin!
