... and a bit of plastic has dropped out that she says it looks like it holds the hood on. grrrr.

i get really paranoid about stuff like this and had tripled checked buggy before she came round. but she didn't open it up and look over when she collected.

she's being really nice and is going to text me a picture of the piece and where she thinks it's come from. says she thinks she'll have to get a new hood.

GRRRR. any bee owners reckon they know what it could be?

Well it's not your problem - she took it and chose not to open it beforehand.

deliakate · 02/03/2011 19:42

Hmm, as an ebay seller this is a tricky one. You def need to see photos/evidence that it is broken. Maybe you could take a look in person too if she is not far away. If you agree with her that it needs a new hood, personally, I would suggest halving the cost - since she should have checked it first, and you should have opened it up and made her look it over.

Also, here's a pic of the hood attachment....strollersandprams.com/forums/search.php?search_id=unanswered&sid=4fe84809f5c351559f3325b0193df9aa

Have a look at her feedback before you offer her anything in the way of a refund. She should have checked it before she took it and may well be pulling a fast one.

she should have checked it before she left and you are not responsible for damage in transit, for all you know she dropped it or forced it open. you could always ring ebay customer helpline and ask them how to proceed?

tyaca · 02/03/2011 20:21

one eye on the karma here guys..... Grin

i have no doubt she's telling the truth. and she doesn't sound annoyed, except at herself for not checking it i think.

i just want everything to be okay. using money to decorate my kids room this weekend for dd's birthday. don't feel like i can relax and just spend the money Sad

just curious what can have happened. delia your link doesn't work, maybe cause i'm not a member of that site?

Sorry, it was just a pic of the white slides that slot into the body of the pram - they are about 6cm long. Agree re the karma. I've seen new hoods for £30, so if you split it, its not too bad.

suzie38 · 03/03/2011 08:26

You may possibly be able to buy the new side pieces on their own...I'll try find a link.

suzie38 · 03/03/2011 08:47

Sorry had no success...It's easy to buy the rods but not the 'clamp'...Clamps are sold for the Frog/Cameleons so strange they don't sell for the Bee as they are quite flimsy.

tyaca · 03/03/2011 22:54

cheers for looking guys, turns out it is the hood clip/clamp. Suzy, you're right, they sell them separately for cams and frog, and for bee pluses, but with the old bees they're part of the chassis.

Thankfully, helpful bods at a company called babycare petts wood are breaking a chassis for parts and can sell me the bit we need. hooray. For only £9 quid too. Problem sorted, think buyer will be fine to have new piece and fit herself.

Cheers for help all.
