beckstar24 · 22/02/2011 20:46

Blush sorry - I'm way to tall for one of those so have programmed myself to ignore as makes choosing what's next slightly easier

OP posts:
Honeydragon · 22/02/2011 20:47

I forgive you Grin

FriggFRIGG · 22/02/2011 21:07

i was looking at streetys....but i am 5'7...is that too tall then?!

FriggFRIGG · 22/02/2011 21:09

Also what do you make of m&p herbie...i dont normally like m&p's but i was looking at urbo's,and got distracted by the cheapness....

Honeydragon · 22/02/2011 21:13

Dh is 5.10" ans is fine with the Streety. I found the Herbies lovely but a bit flimsy. I've heard on here that later models are better as the earlier models had a few wheel and brake issues.

Don't like the Urbo...ick, so can't tell you Grin

Honeydragon · 22/02/2011 21:14

Start a thread in the pushchairs topic, you'll get loads of advice there Wink

FriggFRIGG · 22/02/2011 21:27

i know, ive been the one giving it on a number of occasions...but the buggy im looking for doesnt exist...well notfor the money i have to spendGrin

Honeydragon · 22/02/2011 21:30

What are you after?

FriggFRIGG · 22/02/2011 21:37

smallish frame,
ie fits in shops and is an anti dote to my well loved but utterly massive britax b-dual!
nippy,RF,easy smallish fold,NOT a wobbly frame, like the loola my friend had (ughh!)

it's for my 5.1/2 month old DS.
DD (2.6yo) has a BJCM
and i have the b-dual for when i want hem both in,but increasingly,DD wants to walk and i dont want DS forward facing yet...sooo,need to find a RF but i cant really afford one ...

i want my bee back!

Honeydragon · 22/02/2011 21:44

ha ha same as me Wink only dd 14 months. I have the Britax Vigour + love it great to push but not nippy Grin

Whats the budget? Why did you get rid of your bee?

FriggFRIGG · 22/02/2011 21:48

to buy a double, which i do really still need as we dont have a car.Sad

i had a britax vigour 3...i loved it but hat was when i lived in t'country, now im in a town with tiny shops and i need something smaller...whats the streety like? why are you selling?how much for?

Honeydragon · 22/02/2011 22:00

I think I stuck it on the boards for £65. I like it because

I has a huge hood
It lies flat
It folds tiny
Has always felt sturdier than the loola despite being lighter Confused

however in RF it dislikes kerbs and prefers you to use the foot plate to go up them. You adjust to this quickly and it doesn't bother, unless you've been using it loads and then go and use a normal pram. I then keep using my foot and hitting thin air Grin

It doesn't fold RF either.

I am looking at selling some jewelery to buy a bee + and praying I don't regret it it. The cheapest price I have negotiated so far is £387.60 with hood delivered and am going into down to beg haggle to see if I can get it any cheaper locally before giving in and settling for that Grin

Honeydragon · 22/02/2011 22:02

Can you not do Bee, buggyboard and connecta carrier?

FriggFRIGG · 22/02/2011 22:13

thats what i did for a while,i have lots of lovely slings that i use alot, and a buggy board, but it just doesnt work all the time for a number of reasons (bee too small for DD for naps,i have joint disorder so i sometimes cant carry DS etc, etc, etc)

none of my jewellery is worth more than tuppence!
Sad Grin

Honeydragon · 22/02/2011 22:20

Mine is inherited had it for years and hate it, hated the relative it came from , never sold it for scrap as didn't want to upset my Dad, however he has said he doesn't mind so dd is getting a bee..... I figured if I look after it the resale will be enough to spend the cash on the kids fairly at a later date...but the bee is an indulgence for me Smile

What about a hauck galaxy? They are about 10kg, but they have the flippy handle bar and fold up one piece? I've seen them go for about £20.00 at times. Or you can get new for around £60 if you're lucky.

I've been told the the bee is ok for naps , was yours the older model?

FriggFRIGG · 22/02/2011 22:32
