What to do pushchair/pram-wise with new baby and 3yo?

DC2 is due in the summer, by which time DS will be 3.

He does sometimes still sit in his buggy - especially when we go round town or on longer trips round the zoo, or similar. However, it's definitely not worth getting a double buggy at this stage, I think.

I was planning on using my M&P Pliko Pramette again for DC2 as I thought I'd remembered it had an integral buggy board. However, I've just had a look at it and it doesn't look like DS will be able to stand on it when it's in pram mode, because of the way the pram bit extends beyond where there the buggy board bit is, IYSWIM. This also means it seems unlikely I'll be able to fit another type of buggy board to it.

I don't really want to/ can't afford to buy another pram for DC2. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do?

Thanks!

I used a sling for the baby. Dd1 would usually walk, occasionally going in the buggy if we were going somewhere particularly far/uphill/long time etc.

I also found it was easier to use the sling anyway as when dd1 was walking it was easier to hold her hand, get through small gaps in shops following her, etc.

I used a wrap sling, then moved onto a mei tai when she was about 6 months iirc - the wrap still worked, I just found the mei tai easier when out and about.

Thanks - yes, actually, I do have a couple of slings I used with DS. I'll have to dig them out.

I've had a quick look at the mei tei - it looks very comfy and easy to use, so might have to invest!!
