Buggy/stroller with "pushchair" handle?

As my DD gets older I would like to use a lightweight stroller that folds small rather than use my "big" pushchair all the time.

The only trouble is that I, DP and DM all hate pushing anything with a pair of handlebars (a la Maclaren etc).

I am after something with a single adjustable handle like you find on most pushchairs, but so far I have only found Chicco Simplicity and M&P Cybex, both way too expensive, and M&P Nuna which seems to have been discontinued (though would have fitted the bill nicely perhaps).

Any ideas?

TIA

Should have said, my budget is £100 tops and am happy to go for pre-loved.

Nuna's often pop up on eBay...It's the only pushchair i bought brand new...It's so light and nippy plus very tiny when folded...Basket's very small though...I was looking at Cybex's this morning...Love the one handle one but i agree it's quite expensive but then you do get a carrycot...Shame they don't sell just as a buggy as well.

I'll look out for a second hand Nuna, thank you :)

Hmmm, if your budget was a bit more - someone on this board just pointed out a Baby Jogger City Mini at www.boots.com for a bargain

However they have a lot of pushchairs on offer at the moment - so here's the link incase this helps open up your choices within your budget a bit more:
www.boots.com/en/Mother-Baby/Pushchairs/ Don't forget you'll collect even more points shopping at boots if you sign up for the Mother and baby club too. Wink

Hi.
Just did a google search, have a look, it may be of some help, there are a couple of non-mclaren-type handled ones. Good luck. xx

Hmm, I wish some of those were available here!

My friend has a BJCM and a three-year-old. Perhaps I could make her an offer...

Luna a bit too much of a "pushchair" and I don't like the way the weight is balanced on them, they feel too high to me.

Thanks everyone :)

I've just discovered the BJC Micro, just over budget...will try and have a trip to a pram shop to try one out.

If you can go the extra money get the City Mini much better than the micro.

If you are in parenting club am sure I can find a 10% off code for boots

T j Hughes have micro for £99

paulbrom · 20/02/2011 18:06

Shock ooh! I could get to TJ Hughes this week as well...
