Out'N'About Nipper Single Vs Petite Star Zia - need to order today!

I think i've narrowed it down to these two - I need to buy a pushchair for my mum who looks after my 20 mo son during the week. She has been using a chicco but after about 6 months now finds it terrible to push and manouver. Only city use really, although when weather is better she goes out for long walks/jogs.

Looking for easy to push with heavy toddler, comfortable for him to nap in, easy to fold and pak away into car, not too bulky to get around shops etc.

I thought Petite Star Zia sounded good and lightweight, but then I came across the Nipper single, and although it's double the price (PSZ curently £90 argos, and Nipper £180 babymart) I would prefer to pay the higher price for better quality if it similarly lightweight and easy to push.

Only issue is my mum needs it pretty sharpish, so would like to order on or the other today, please help!

Nipper without a doubt. If she struggles with the chicco she will definitely struggle with the zia

Out of those two - definately the Nipper! Alternatively - a Baby Jogger City Mini or Baby Jogger Classic! (as they're even easier to fold).

The trouble with the Nipper - is the seat is small - so could be outgrown before 3y old, also it's not so very easy to fold.

I would not buy the petit star at all! (not great quality/durable)

The Baby Jogger City Mini is fantastic. It's as light as a maclaren - and folds really fast - and is much nicer to push. There is an underseat basket and a back of seat basket too. The hood is large enough to keep of most rain without the need for a raincover - and will provide enough sun shade without the need for a parasol.
The City Classic - is also fab but a little bulkier - with it's air tyres.

You could easily fit either in your car boot - you'd be amazed at how compact they both are folded.

All baby joggers have this amazing quick fold technology - which makes them particularly suitable for grandparents IMO!

That's great thanks, although yikes £200, which I know is only £20 more than the Nipper, but the Nipper was a strech from the Star! Hmmm...I will have a look for 2nd hand ones.

nipper definitely the air tyres make it a fab push and she will love it for long walks in the spring/summer. nice big hood too. Not so easy round shops but for what you've said i'd go for that every time.

Well to update... Not to mention - if you look after the BJCM - you ought to be able to sell it for a bood price once you're done with it. Fantastic deal all round really. x Bet your mum raves about it when she tries it out! LOL It's just so easy and nice to use.

so as promised an update. received the BJCM two days after ordering it. Love love love it. I might have to steal it from my mum..! It's so light and easy to turn and go up and down. LO is quite comfy awake and asleep in it which is great. Thanks for all your help.

Sorry to hijack thread, but I ordered the BJCM yesterday from Boots and even with a 5% discount code I still paid £167. I'm also signed up to the parenting club and this gave me £16.50 worth of points not £25 . Can anyone tell me where I went wrong?

hi there, sorry i think my post was a bit misleading. i meant with the £24.50 of points the price was effectively £150. I paid Boots £175, and then taking into account the points I got on Ad card, i calculated the pram cost me about £150. so you managed to get it even cheaper but got less points. Hope that makes sense?
