Pushchairs
Baby Jogger City Select - any views?

Hi
I'm having my second child in a couple of months and rather like the BJCS as a good double pushchair. It does everything I want it to do. Husband is concerned that it will be too long as I do a lot of bus travel but I think that you either end up with long or wide if you want a double!
Does anyone have one and have any views on the length issue, either with carrycot and seat unit or 2 seat units?
Any general views on it? Do you like it if you have one?
thanks very much

I was at John Lewis the other day and saw one IRL, I was not so impressed with it looks wise (didn't look too sturdy or so great on the quality I'm sad to say - and I usually LOVE babyjogger stuff!) - the iCandy peach with double kit looked fantastic though.
Also the Britax B Dual Looked excellent quality.
The icandy is probably the one I would investigate first though. Just looked extremely versatile and practical - very space saving to say it was a 2 seater - and really looked very posh!

My friend has it and it's a pig to push and to steer. I have had numerous doubles and love the look of this but wouldn't get one myself as I couldn't be doing with the weight nor the lack of manouverability.

I have seen this and been tempted, in the same boat as CathyML. Would really like to know what peoples actual experiences of it are, as I see a few going on ebay that aren't that old and it does make you think!

it is very good, must have tried most doubles going and it is the best so far. It looks longer than it is, it is only the same as a phil and teds I measured them it is just the front seat sits up higher. Both kids get a comfy seat, you can have them facing you, folds down next to nothing size wise.
It is heavier to steer with older child at front but still easy enough. If I am going round shopping centres where will have to do lost of tight turns I put toddler nearer me.
My friend with the Icandy is jealous of this pushchair and thinks it is much more versatile than the pear. We walk the kids to school in the morning and hers creaks like it is going to fall apart which would drive me bananas, we swapped one morning and the baby jogger city select was way easier to push.
Think the quick sale is that with most doubles people get them just as toddlers get independent but I like this as a single too, more than the bugaboo!!
