For a friend. She looked at the icandy peach blossom and liked it but is also considering a double mountain buggy with carrycot so as to have both facing her.
Big purchase and big decision.

I cant recommend the mountain buggy highly enough.Easy to push over ANYTHING!!! Icandys are nice but I dont think the quality is the same. Also a friends little one grew out of the seat unit at one (is a chunky munky though!!) I have pushed many a double and think they are all hard work in comparison to the mountain buggy. :)

I did love my single one and have added my twopenneth to those recommending it but didn't know if it was horrendously massive as a double.

My friend with twins has a M&P Pulse, it's an umbrella fold suitable from birth. She wanted one she could get in the boot of her car and through her front door and this was the only one that did both (she has a Fiesta though, only a wee boot).

The bugaboo donkey is about to be released and will be able to have 2 carrycots, some places are taking pre-orders

Bugaboo Donkey = remortgage.
If she has time before the babies arrive [DD April] maybe she can go look at one somewhere though.

I have a peach blossom for newborn and toddler and it is absolutely fab. However I would say that it would not be as good for twins as the back seat unit is smaller than the front one so one twin will outgrow the pushchair quickly. i also have a nipper which is even easier to push but has the usual drawbacks around town due to width and also I find the seats are really difficult to adjust quickly.

What are the differences between the various years of double mountain buggies. I know that with the single I had it was an older model with a fixed handle and was great and I know that recent ones have been made in china and are not as good but what of ones in between?

We found the out n about nipper 360 great for us - similar to the mountain buggy but a smidgen of the price. The buggy is suitable from birth to 3 years of age and great for zipping around the shops and out and about around the parks - just remember to buy the 'optional' basket to store all those bits and bobs in. Just typed in Double Buggy into Google and this site popped up,it seems to give you a general overview of some of the buggies on offer which may help you make your choice
