Nicplus1and1baking · 04/02/2011 22:17

I have the britax b dual ready for when #2 is born, i will be using the bottom seat for baby and althogh ts suitable from birth i cant imagine just laying a newborn on the seat.
The soft carrycot is £80 quid so dont want to pay that for sake of 8 wks or so.

Anybody got any kind of suggestion for a liner/cocoon type thing?

have you considered using the top seat for the newborn(facing you) and popping the older child in the bottom seat?
this is what we do,and have added a sheepskin liner(DS is 5mo now!) and it works really well DD likes the bottom seat and calls it the 'peek a boo' seat! Grin

(also with the bottom seat if you put it on the middle recline position and undo some velcro near the head area,it reclines in a different way, giving a bit more depth to the seat, and making it more suitible for a NB.) IYSWIM!

you could also probably put a p&t cocoon in there, you can pick them up 2nd hand for about £15.Smile
