Urban detour?

Looking for advice!
I had a Jane Powertwin for my DTs, and would really like a single Jane for DD, but they're too dear even on Ebay, so someone suggested the Urban Detour.
I'm not generally a fan of Mothercare pushchairs, as I currently have a Trenton Deluxe which I detest don't get on with.
Any thoughts?

I really like the urban detour. It pushes really nicely, has a large basket. My ds2 likes the bumper bar and I have managed to pick mine up from the car boot for £10.

The downsides are it is really heavy. I have hurt my back before lifting it into the car, but I am a weedling, but this does mean that they are incredibly sturdy. It is quite big folded, but I think most 3 wheelers are.

I think if you can get one cheap enough 2nd hand then go for it. Also if you ever need spare parts you can normally get them quite cheaply on ebay.

I have an Urban Detour and it is currently on DD2. It pushes beautifully and can survive anything we have thrown at it. Great for cobbled streets and high kerbs. Also very good for beach and country walks.

I sometimes wish I had got something sexier but it good value and more robust than pushchairs costing 3x the money.

I did finally give in and buy a mini 3 wheeler for the car/holidays/GPs though as the Urban Detour is so heavy and bulky.

We got ours new but wouldn't hesitate to buy second hand as they are so solid.

Thanks for your replies. I've just won one on eBay, so watch this space :)
