Adequate stroller for inner London, advice needed

Hey guys, was wondering if anyone had any advice for me. I'm a first time mum to be and live in inner London. Until now I had no clue how complex it was to buy a stroller to meet all the different needs of parent and baby, and am somewhat baffled as to what I should really be thinking about in purchasing a stroller, and what strollers would suit my lifestyle.

I was thinking about the Baby Jogger City Mini or the Bugaboo Bee Plus to handle inner city living and meet my needs for a compact lightwieght stroller, but any suggestions or reccomendations are welcome. I don't have squillions to spend so would prefer if it was something that could grow with baby (infant to toddler) and sturdy so I don't have to keep buying new ones.

Maclaren techno xt ?

I had the Baby Jogger City mini and loved it, my big 3YO sat in it every now and again until we no longer needed it.

But it only faces forward so you won't be able to face baby which may be a problem but plenty don't have an issue with this but you can buy a seperate adapter which adds onto it so you can have the carrycot or car seat on it facing you for the first few months.

The Bee looks okay but the tiny wheels would put me off TBH, if your walking on rough ground or cobbles etc I don't imagine they would handle it too well.But I don't have experience of it so...

The Loola or Loola Up could be an option, it is quite heavy to lift but is quite good price-wise and it rear faces.

I saw an almost 2yo in a bee at school this morning, it was raining and her head was too high to put the hood up.

She also looked wedged into the seat. This alone would put me off the Bee. I'm looking at buying a city mini to take on holiday!

My average sized 3.0 year old fits in her Bee fine. Her head is at the top but I can comfortably still pull the hood down. She rarely uses a pushchair these days, that's the only one she'll go in.

mamadiva you hit the nail on the head in terms of my worries for both models. Will defo check out the Loola and Loola Up.

Hevster I haven't looked into a Maclaren as my DP doesn't like the look of them for some reason but I have heard alot about the XT so may have to twist his arm into checking it out

IWillCountToThree I am worried about having a big'un (we both have the tall family gene) who would grow out of the bee quickly.

hmmmm....

I think a long trip to JL is in order, my poor DP
