linear freeway jet sport

can anyone help...i am thinking of purchasing a second hand silver cross linear freeway pushchair. Has anyone had experience with them. My dd is almost one but only 7kg so is still quite small. Would we get quite a lot of use before outgrown and also would i need to purchase a second stage car seat because at mo she in travel system car seat which wouldn't fit the linearbut not sure if she too small for fitted 2nd stage???

Yes she's way too light for a second stage car seat...They start at 9kg but it's better to rear face for as long as possible...Baby car seats rear face up to 13kg though some children grow out of them before that age because they're too long...Once head starts creaping over the top of the seat it's time to change...My DD must be about 10.5kg at 20 months and still uses baby car seat in the Matiz and will probably do so until she's 2 as she's tiny and still mainly wears 6-9 month clothes...Rear faces in a Britax 1st Class in main car...If you buy a 2nd stage car seat then you'll always be transfering from car seat to pushchair...So you may as well stick with your current baby car seat and transfer every time as she'll be safer that way...As for the pushchair i've no idea.

i had one of these for a few weeks,
its HUGE folded,and took up most of my vectra boot,personally i didnt like it,fabrics are gorgeous but i didnt like the plasticy wheels (im used to rubber or air tyres)
my cousin has one and relly likes it for walking into town etc,but she bought a zapp to keep in the car x

massive when foled, feels rickety, 2 piece fold, hard to push. You can tell I didnt like it.

I've had this pram in a different colour, have found it good, but then I've not used anything else to compare with. It is roomy, so will fit for a long time, but you will need a big boot. I would say it's a great pram if you don't drive as it's good for being able to fit everything for a whole day in it,plus giving them plenty of room to wriggle and stretch in.
My dd was 20lbs at a year old, I switched to a pushchair not long after, as it was getting heavy to push, though I did use it sometimes up to 2 years as I missed the rear facing!

I have this pram. My DD is 11 months and 17lb in weight and she still goes in it a lot, but mainly only for walks, I can't be arsed with using it when out in the car as it's massive and heavy to fold and unfold. I have a Maclaren Quest for round the shops.

The freeway is a sturdy, roomy, comfy pram, which will keep your child snug and protected from the rain and wind. It pushes nicely and has loads of room in the basket. It is HUGE though. Not keen on it as a forward facing pushchair so I stick to using it with DD facing me.
