Is there anything left to try?

I need something to make my big 2 year old feel light to push - so air tyres. Adjustable handlebar - decent basket to fit my work bag and 2 nursery/school bags into.

it needs to be easy for dh to get into nursery whilst shepherding 2 kids - and folds up small to not take room in the pushchair shed (that's only half a shed - it's teeny in there).

This is the biggie - there is a point in the hall at nursery that's so narrow that my single MB wouldn't fit (although BJCM just squeaked in).

Does it exist? Is it a nipper? I worry that the seat is too reclined . .

Thanks for your suggestions though

I'd try a nipper, folds really flat. You can get the seat to sit as fat up by adjusting the strap. DS3 never found it a problem as he sat upright without the backrest anyway.

You want a bee. No air tyres but you can't even feel my (not huge but prob bigger than your 2yo) 4.5yo in it. Steers with one hand, can push 2yo & pull 4.5yo on scooter at the same time no problem. Also very narrow and folds up small, very flat.

Prob is that old style Bee not big enough and don't have the funds for new style one

Will start another thread abotu whether Frog can cope with big 2 year old?

Thanks

nipper basket not huge, you can buy an additional one but find my drags so i took it off. Handle bar doesn't adjust.

however its a fab fab push. As the pushchair is so light i push my 3yo in mine all the time easily (micralite now packed away sadly for dc4)

A word of warning though the Nipper is not goood if your child does'nt like practically lying back all the time!

They have a bucket seat which actually leans into the back of the pushchair so they never really get to see out and the handle is really low not adjustable, I found it really uncomfy and I am only 5ft3.

I thought the BJCM was great for my big 3YO though.

i've found my latest nipper seat to be far more upright. I find the handle height fine tbh at 5'3' but the BJCM is very high isn't it? so if you're used to that may be a bit of a change?

beckstar24 · 10/12/2010 19:27

Thanks for that - but I think that will be too low - I'm nearly 5ft 8 and like tall handles

Think I'm going to have to get over my Mac hatred and get an xt - just can't do the BJCM

Thanks for your replies though

I would'nt recommend a Mac XT for something light to push, I had one for my 3YO which weighed an absolute TON!

Could your DP fold it before taking it through and just walking with DS? Would save hassle in the long run.
