Micralite HELP!

Hi all, could you please educate me on the pros and cons of Micralite and the various models?
I think I want one but not really sure!

Depends what you want one for really. You have two kids, superlite or toro. Although if you want 2nd hand, then fastfolds as well.

If you want one to lie flat, then Toro, which also has a bumper bar.

If you're using it for a toddler who doesn't sleep much in the pram, thenget the fastfold/superlite. I like the hood better on the superlite, fastfold ones have hinges which tend to slip (I've had 4 and all done this).

Both are on the same frame though. Air tyres at the back are great as does what most 3 wheelers do, just need to tilt it slightly and it is mega easy to push. Pushes just like a stroller, very easy to steer one handed.

It tips easy if you put anything heavier than a handbag on, but only if the child gets out the pram. I usually keep something on the bottom to counter balance it.

I want it to keep in the boot for nipping about. I already have a triumph but want something else for my other ds.

Would I be better getting another mac?

My 5 year old fits in ours no problem. The top tapers, but never had a problem with that either.

Easy to fold, just pull up the back handle.

I'd get a fastfold, make sure the basket is attached to the front wheels rather than the seat as the older ones had problems with the front wheels.

It's longish when folded as the foot bit comes out and adds to length, so depends on the car you have really.

Do you know the rough length and width?
I have a honda accord so a fairly big boot but wouldn't want it to fill it.

Fastfold is easy to fold, lightweight and stands alone when folder which is nice when getting it in and out of a car.

Ours fits across the back of a Focus boot with plenty of space in front of it (if you put the buggy along the back, iyswim?).

Downsides of the FF - small shopping basket - this never bothered me, bt if you shop a lot with the pushchair beware - the pushchair is so light you can't hang loads of stuff from the handles instead.
It does not recline at all.

BUT, it is light, easy to use, comfortable. The cosytoes and raincover fit well. Easy to push, smooth. One handed pushing.

DS fitted in it until he was gone 3 and he was HUGE.

hood on FF is rubbish, meant to add.

So what is the differences between the FF and the superlite?

hood on FF and superlite offers very little protection. But is such a breeze to push i really really love my superlite its one of my all time favourites if not my favourite buggy.

it has all the pro's of a stroller, light maneovreable, compact fold etc. But with the ease of a larger wheeled pram, the best push i've ever had. copes well with all terrain.

i like the way it freestands.

buggy weights will counteract tipping.

i have just swapped my 3.3yr old to a nipper as i felt he was looking cramped in the seat with big winter coat on tho he did seem comfy enough. He's cosier in nipper tho for winter. Have a few pics of superlite i can add if you would like?

main difference is the superlite does have a bit of a recline.

the frame is black which is nice.

the seat is mesh.

Im so undecided! I currently have a triumph and a nuna (and a cherry on ebay!).

I have a tall 2.11yr old and a 15 month old.
Im thinking about selling the nuna and having a change.
Needs to be fairly compact/ easy fold and both dc need to fit into it.

I had a bjcm and am wondering if I should buy another!

I have issues DH might leave if I get another pushchair, the last 4 have been 'the last one!!

oh sorry its all packed away now for dc4 as im using nipper. What did you want measured the seat back?

No more the folded dimentions for the car really!
