Please recommend something difficult to break

I don't have a car so do loads of walking with baby (6m)in the pram, mainly pavement but ours are shocking, lots of them ye olde slate paving/cobbles/manky tarmac with huge bumps and cracks etc, and uphill quite a bit. Sometimes over grass.
I have a M&P Sola which I love but it's going a bit wonky, I think I may have knackered it a bit as I've prob used it more in 6 months (estimate that we do about 20 miles a week, if not more) than a lot of people would in three years.
Hopefully we can fix it, but if not, what would you recommend? I want comfort for baby (she takes all her naps in the buggy) and comfort for me, preferably something light, steerable with one hand and it MUST NOT have the two separate handles (eg Pilko handles), I hate those. Handle must be adjustable too as I am short and DP tall, and above all things it must be durable and good in bad weather!

Best for quality for me is Jane. Im very heavy handed and hubby is strong so I chose this brand. Not at all flinsy, very well built. I loved my powertrack 360 3 wheeler - I bought this secondhand and now hanging so I use it around the farm and hubby takes it on the fields and nothing has ever fallen off. Also have the careara but not so fussed

The trouble with lightweight is having the strong quality - Ive never seen both.

Yeah, you're right I suppose about lightweight vs strong.
Will definitely have a look at Jane, I think there's a stockist near me, then I can scour the internet for bargains.
Anybody rate the iCandy Apple? It looks quite good and I like the idea that I could make it a twin if we have DC2.

air tyres will resist the shocks and bumps and make long distances a much more pleasureable walk. The apple is not at all lightweight. But would be a nice push esp with the jogger wheel.

I can whole-heartedly recommend a Mutsy. We have the 4Rider Light and it has handled all sorts of 'abuse' beautifully ! From city pavements, to grass, to sand, to stony uphill trails, to snow (last year, left all my bugaboo-loving friends in the dust :)).
It's definitely steerable with one hand, can turn around basically on the spot.
It has one of the highest adjustable handles on the market, so should be comfortable for your DH (and it's lowest setting is actually quite low too).
The seat is fully adjustable, so your LO will be comfy - even seat depth is adjustable, in addition to adjustable footrest, several harness positions and actual recline (not tilting of a V-shaped frame). The seat is quite wide too, so no problems fitting thick sheepskin linings and footmuffs in (currently, we have a sheepskin inside a footmuff and my DS is still very comfy. The seat back is very tall also, so your LO won't be brushing against the canopy for a while.

My brtiax vigour 3 withstood loads of abuse,I'm increadibly clumsy so always bumping into stuff!also went through woods (off track) and bumpy old pavements,stairs etc!!
And can be found for peanuts on ebay!
P&t's are pretty hardy,and I've heard good things about mountan buggys and nipper 360's.

Second hand mountain buggy should suit you - after 50 or so prams and buggies I got one of these and never looked back. It stopped my obsession in its tracks

New MBs are not as good quality, which is why I say S/H btw, they last years so older ones keep their value.

We had a mountain buggy that was in use over 3 kids for about 7 years, it was brilliant. I passed it on to a friend afterwards and she had it for another couple of years. Incredibly robust and it took us on dog walks every day across rough ground, across beaches and up and over Dartmoor several times.

Baby jogger elite or classic, easy peasy to push, handle can be adjusted low enough for a child to push or very high if need be - very very solid and have air tyres so smooth and lovely! Pushing my 3 year old in one is a doddle
