I have the Sola pushchair, carrycot and cybex carseat. My DS is now 3 months old and is too long for the carrycot. However, I found it really useful as I don't drive and spend a lot of time walking. TBH I wouldn't bother buying the carrycot unless you are planning on using it a lot. Otherwise it is a lot of money for a relatively short amount of time.

The Sola is a fab pushchair and I don't regret choosing it for a second! It handles really well and is fairly light.

The footmuff is no use for a baby, too far down, mine is 6m and it's no use for her yet, though you will need the liner so it's worth buying.
I had the carrycot as her actual bed and did like using it when she was tiny, but the seat unit goes totally flat and with the liner is nice and snug for a newborn. It's a great pushchair but if you are going to do a LOT of walking it's perhaps a bit flimsy - we do about 20miles a week and I'm having some issues with mine now.

Yes, the footmuff is rubbish, comes up to DD's thighs. Total waste of LOTS of money. I bought a second hand M&P footmuff from ebay (no idea which model it was from), and that's much better, comes up to her chin!
