Loola Up? Mila? Help?

It's a nightmare this pushchair/pram buying business. Anyone got any views on the above?

I tried both of these today but the Loola didn't have a seat on - it had a bassinet which I'm not sure I want - and they wouldn't fetch one So now I have questions...

Does the Loola seat lie flat? Can you collapse the pushchair with the seat? Can you get an insert so newborns are snug and comfy?

Anyone got other recommendations for plane friendly pushchairs that fit a bebe confort creatis.fix car seat? Preferably that lie flat so anewborn could go from baggage drop to plane gate?

The Mila seemed nippier and lighter but the Loola was sturdier.

The Loola Up does lie flat (The Loola doesn't, however) and folds with the seat on. Not sure about a newborn insert but the seat is nice snuggly material on one side and DS was always really snug in it with a blanket when he was newborn - I never had the carrycot.

It doesn't get very good press on here but I really love mine. Still use it for DS who is now 2 in preference to the umbrella fold thing I have which is getting increasingly hard to steer as he gets heavier.

Also I'd think about getting one second hand - they seem to be a love/hate thing so they are much cheaper on ebay, and don't resell for very much later.

Sadly eBay not an option here unless I find someone to ship!!!

yep i bought a new one,and loved it to begin with,when my ds got to about 16months i didnt like it,was nice parent facing,but didnt like it when it was forward facing so much,
one thing i hated was the fact you cant pull it backwards(think busy shops) so you also cant go upstairs with it,

its VERY easy to push one handed though,lovely to push,its quite heavy to lift in/out of car but thats only because you can fold it in a one,if that bothered u could take the seat unit off.

Agree it's not great at being pulled backwards, but I find I can do so for a short distance which is generally all I need. Pretty much all the shops have lifts here so I don't think I have had to bump it up steps very often - I guess it depends on whether you see yourself having to do this or not :)

Oh eek. I didn't think of going backwards....that might be an issue.

I did accidentally with the Mila and that was fine though and they looked pretty much the same. What's the problem with it?

I have had the loola up and it was great for first 12 months, i used the chassis with the loola carseat quite a bit and it was a god send!

Hae you thought about the bebe confort streety.
Lighter, smaller chassis.

I used the loola up from birth with the loola cosytoes, no need for carrycot imo.
The cosytoes is great so snuggly and padded

supposed to be because its a single wheel setup rather than having 2 wheels on the axle,but im not convinced as i know of a few other strollers which are the same,but dont have the same problem,
have to say though their customer service is good,they replaced my full back wheel setup as i complained,didnt do it as much with the new wheels,but would wreck it if you had to pull it up stairs often.

The back wheels kind of splay slightly outwards when you pull it backwards. It's fine if you're just backing out of a shop or pushing the buggy back and forth to get the baby to sleep.

Actually thinking about it we used to live on a fairly steep hill and I had to drag the thing backwards up the garden every single time I wanted to leave the house. That was probably about 4-5 feet and uphill, though not up steps (the steps were too uneven) - I made a little track in the grass to do it.

It does tend to creak alarmingly and certain bits sometimes look as though they might break, but having seen the resale value I'm pretty much happy to work it into the ground and it hasn't broken yet :) I think it's more sturdy than it seems.

yep,resale is CRAP,i sold my as new one with a spare brand new hood,raincover hadnt even bn used for £100
