Britax Vigour 4 / 4+ - does it really lie flat?

Hi,
I'm expecting baby no. 2 and, as DS is now 4, am needing to restock on all sorts of baby equipment and this time round am trying to be a little more sensible with what we spend .

Looking at second hand pushchairs I've been really impressed with the spec of the Britax Vigour 4 / 4+ - it can be forward or backward facing and fits the safe sleeper lie flat car seat.

BUT - I've yet to see one in the flesh and from the pictures can't quite work out if it REALLY does lie flat or if the shaped seat just tips back.

Can anyone help? I've got visions of buying one and having to re-ebay it as soon as it arrives!

I have the vigour 3+ but same seat as the 4+ you can't use the pushchair till 6 months btw but it does lie totally flat the back goes straight down and you can lift the foot rest up to iyswim dd is 9 months and always looks more like she is sprawled in bed than in a pushchair!

And the footplate at the front is ideal for a four year old to hitch a ride on when tired

I have the vigour 4+ and have used it from birth. It does lie flat we just added a decent cosy toes to add some padding on the base. Not sure if it just the +model which lies flat?

yup only the + models lie flat anything earlier has a bucket seats and pneumatic tyres. The = doesn't so no punctures.

Thanks for the feedback. Right, so it's the 4+ I'm after.

It's bizzare as I'm sure plenty of people must have them but since I've been looking out for them when out and about I haven't spotted a single one.

I must look like some strange pushchair obsessive - eying up people's buggies!

Well, I can stop now -thanks again - and any other good gen about the 4+ would be great to hear. Did you use the carrycot or safe sleeper? Do they last long or did you find LO grew out of them by a few months?
