Views please between ICandy Apple / Bugaboo Cam / P&T / Mothercare my choice or others?

Hello all

I'm due Jan with first and currently looking for prams - just realising what a nightmare it is!
Have two dogs so needs to be able to do some x country (although also planning to use a baby bjorn sling). #
Also want a forward and rear facing seat (according to my mother!), have a lie flat carry cot and extendable handle as husband 6"5.

Also want something that will last and given that we are going to try for a second baby, something that could be a double if needed!

Have spoken to some advisers (inclu Mothercare and JL) and come away with list as follows:

Bugaboo Cameleon - seems expensive but also seems to hit alot of buttons but is it worth the money?
P&T - several friends have and rave about but seems very heavy and worried about lifting - baby doesn't rear face either?
ICandy Apple - seems to also hit alot of buttons but views appreciated?
Mothercare - has a three wheeler My Choice which seems alot cheaper. Could that be a better value choice? Are they any good????

Not tried to see whether they fit in cars yet!

Lastly are there any others I might have missed? and are second hand versions worth it and anything I need to be aware of with these?

Budget not an issue - value for money is!

I have an Apple and I absolutely love it, couldn't sing its praises highly enough. It's nice and sturdy, steers beautifully (but I always used it in 4 wheel mode), the seat unit, carrycot and car seat (when used) was nice and high up, unlike the Cam which is down by your ankles. It means you can actually see your child and also gives you lots of storage underneath. I bought a rocking horse once and with dd in the car seat there was room for the rocking horse underneath!

You can fold the apple without taking the seat off and I used to turn the seat round with dd in it, it's that simple to do. The handle exends from shortarse (me) to stupidly tall.

I can't see any downsides to a second hand one either. The only issue we ever had with it was the foam coming off the handle but I wasn't fussed about that.

i have the icandy apple only used carrycot and car seat so far as baby six months
we use it a lot on country walks and it is Fab!! very easy to stear carrycot is higher up than on a buggaboo which i prefer and very roomy for adding blankets etc..

I found john Lewis more helpful than mothercare in showing how things work on the pushchairs .

I also have the apple and love it. Mine is the 3 wheeled version which is easy to steer too, and we don't have any of the problems people say they have had with the basket rubbing.

If you want to go off road, the apple has really good suspension.

Another vote for the apple! I used mine on a field in the snow with minimal effort.
It also still looks great as a double.

I bought my first one new when I had DS, then sold it on ebay when he was 2.5 - only because I was back at work and he prefered to walk. I'm now expecting DC3 and I'm going to pick one up on ebay.

Another vote for the Apple - just right for country walks, and for dog-walking. Also I am about 6 feet tall, and found it is a good height and the carseat etc. sits high.

Just to add, I bought my Apple three years ago when expecting DD. We used it until she was about 18 months and then stopped in favour of a Maclaren. It's been sitting in the dining room ever since in the hope of dc2 and DD spotted it the other week (she's now 2.9yo) and wanted to go in it. She loves it and is suddenly happy to be back in the pushchair and only wants to go in that because it's 'comfy'. The seat unit when used with a footmuff or liner is lovely and cosy.

Should add a downside though, it is heavy if lifting it in and out of the boot is an issue. One of the reasons we stopped using it, but the benefits far outweigh that.

I love the iCandy Peach, much less bulky than Apple but lasts as long if not longer, and sooo easy to fold up

Oh also excellent for countryside, city, forward and rear facing, has a carry handle, the handle is height adjustable, oh my list goes on. I really really recommend it. PS I got mine from John Lewis
