Mama's and Papa's currently have the zoom on offer. £100 off and now for £250. This includes carry cot as well. I like the look and feel but not too sure about the basket underneath. Does anyone have one and what do they think. I was thinking of the Sola but not so sure now.

It is great! I ordered one and its lovely, the basket is huge, what was you not sure on about it?

I am returning mine unfortunately as its too wide to go through my front door (its 64cms wide which makes it about the same as the buzz i think as i cant get that in either!) There were no measurements o the website when i ordered it and i assumed it was same as sola (sola states 60 cms wide which is fine for my door) Am so gutted as i would have loved to keep it

Thanks for the reply, the basket is huge but seems quite low it just seems as if things may fall out the back.

I see what you mean about the basket as although big its not very deep! Id say the buzz one was similar and i did not have any problems with that one.

The zoom is deffo worth it for the price i think. Good suspension on it too

Hi, I'm having exactly the same dilemma. What do people think about the Zoom being 3 wheels and the Sola 4? I was set on the Sola but went and looked at the Zoom at the weekend and it seems very similar for £100 less (as we would want the carrycot).

Baby isn't due until April so have loads of time - from experience are the Jan sales any good for pushchairs etc? Sola hasn't been reduced in any of the sales by more than about £10 so far.

I have the Sola and love it. It's light, folds down small, is compact but feels sturdy. Its height fits me and my rather tall partner.

It's easy to reach into the basket, and neither the handle nor the basket touch the floor when you fold it. I would hate that in this horrible wet weather!

In terms of the number of wheels, I find the four wheels make it more stable to bump up kerbs than a three wheeler I tried, but maybe that's personal taste.

Thanks skippingturtle, I have been fixed on the Sola for a while! Does it fold down with the seat / car seat attached? And can you fold it down with 1 hand?

Also, did you get the carrycot with the Sola?

skippingturtle · 30/09/2010 13:34

Yes, you can fold it with the pushchair seat attached, although it needs to be facing away from you to do it. Car seat will only go on rear facing, and I've never tried to collapse it with the car seat on, it wouldn't be worth it as it would the be very big!

It's handy for travelling through airports that it can be collapsed as one piece, some airlines are funny about two part pushchairs counting as one item.

Nope, I can't fold it with one hand, although this very morning my partner opened it with one hand!

No, I didn't get the carrycot, we had a moses basket on loan for in the house. Thought the carrycot was very expensive for the amount of time it would be useful. The seat goes down practically flat and is suitable from birth (not for a whole night's sleep though).

I also liked that the footmuff/apron/liner thing is lovely and cotton, a few of the other pushchairs I looked at felt very nylony.

Any more questions, ask away!
