Bugaboo all terrain/snow wheels

I'm really really tempted to buy the Bugaboo Bee Plus for ds who is now 17 months old, reading reviews it seems that sizewise, this newer model is okay for "older" children, and ds is quite small for his age as it is. The selling factor, however, for me, is if the all terrain/snow wheels that Bugaboo sell are compatible with the Bee Plus. We do do a lot of walking as we dont have a car, but not neccessarily off-road walking, but it does concern me when the snow comes around, and how we will cope - we had an absolute nightmare earlier this year with our current pram...

I think you'll find they are only designed for the bigger Bugaboos, like the Cameleon. They work well on my Cameleon, I have to say.

I don't think the bugaboo snow wheels are compatible with the bee plus either.

I too don't think the bee plus will be good in snow.

I have the bee plus, and do a lot of walking - it's a really nice buggy to push and works very well with a heavy older child. The seat extends to be large enough for my tall 6.5y old - so no worries there.

I also like the big shopping basket beneath the bee plus - which makes it very practical for shopping or school bags if you have other kids.

I have a cheap all terrain pram in the garage for off road weekend jaunts and if the snow is bad again (although as my toddler is old enough to sit - I found the sledge worked well in the snow!). Wink (and the sledge was only a tenner - why not get one and put it away for any snow - no use trying to buy one after the snow arrives - as most places sell out of sledges fast and you could end up bidding silly money for one on ebay!!!). the snow wheels def. are not compatible with bee plus. They have a plastic snap out prong whereas the bee plus have a metal pointy prong and the snap in point is on the chassis rather than the wheel.
Wouldnt put me off buying one though. If you want something that will cope in snow, buy a cameleon or frog and stick snow wheels on. Or better still, buy the bee plus and get a cheap 2nd hand 3 wheeler for snow/fields.
