Pushchair choice fatigue

Can anyone help me? Ds 2 is due in December. Ds will be 2 years old. I feel like I've looked at every push chair on the reviews page and none of them seem like 'the one'.

Reasons for this are:
I don't like the idea of blow up tyres. Dh and I are rubbish at maintenance.
I would prefer a tandem
I would prefer the new born to have the ability to lie flat.
I would prefer to be able to fit it in the boot of my fiesta!

It's a pipe dream, isn't it. These criteria are in order of preference, btw.

Please help!!!

I feel your pain. But I don't know what the perfect is either (been through several of them, I'm more likely to dislike than like)

Replace the tyres and put in kevlar liners (have never had to blow up tyres)

Newborn lies flat, plus the carrycot/bag has to be the best bit of babykit ever, ds (10 weeks) sleeps in his everywhere and is very portable (ie falls asleep in pushchair, then can be carried in bag onto sofa or crib etc)

They fold pretty small, certainly the same size as our old single Urban Detour.

They also work well as a single if your ds1 decides he wants to walk everywhere.

We have had ours for 4 years, it is on baby number 3 and is fantastic.

Kevlar liners! Never heard of 'em!! Any particular p&t? I can't yell the difference.

We've got the phil and teds e3, it was second hand when we got it, but it is still going strong (although looks a bit knackered)

baby jogger - where do you bloody buy it from? i do like the look of it and am trying to justify the cost to myself by planning a 3rd dc.....

Planning another child to justify a pushchair really how shocking......sounds exactly like the kind of thing I'd do!

Not the city select? Every other baby jogger....tho I'll check boots now.

Honestly, buy a puncture repair kit for £1 and learn to mend a puncture. It is really very easy. Enable yourself, sister .

I think we only had 3 or 4 punctures in 3 years of pushchairing with our Phil & Ted's. You can put this stuff called Slime in the tyres which reduces punctures too.

It was really easy to push and (apparently) a good ride because of the big wheels and tyres too.

You might come unstuck with the Fiesta but then I'm not sure what other double WOULD fit.

Greenlotus- I totally get you re enabling, It's just that i feel able in lots of other areas and can't be arsed with punctures! Tho Kevlar is vg idea. God knows why my phone couldn't fins the bjcs on tesco - thanks OADCB. I really like the multi positioning on the city select. The car may have to go. I think I may spend more on this pushchair than I ever have on a car!
