Bugaboo - frog, cam, or gecko?

Despite not needing a buggy, I have always been a bit curious about the Bugaboo and am wondering which is the best to get 2nd hand?

What are the pros and cons?

I have a Frog and i think i'd prefer the adjustable handle of the Cam as i'm quite short so Frog handle feels an inch or so too high for me...But with the Cam i don't like the look of the adjustable bit on the front wheels...Cam you can change the look with official products, but other companies do the same thing for any Bugaboo...Geckos don't have the carry handle/bumper bar which my daughter loves hanging off so just makes the seat look more comfortable...Also not sure if Geckos have the carrycot bit.

Thanks for that. I'll keep looking on ebay. I seem to recall hearing good things about the Frog on here.

I've been given a frog second hand - 2 previous users - and it still looks pretty new and is a dream to use. I bought some bits and pieces of ebay for it and they were very cheap too... probably cheaper than buying them for the cam.

I have just got a Frog, purely because it was in good condition and a good price (£147). I was looking for a Cam and willing to spend £300 ish. But this way I won't feel bad when the baby ends up in a little stroller a lot of the time after a year or so.

As far as I am aware the Frog lacks a few features that the Cam has:

adjustable handle bar- DP and I are both average height

less sophisticated suspension

smaller shopping basket

different mattress- I will probably replace anyway

I think parts may be difficult to get for Frog though- this did put me off a bit.

I hope I have made the right decision!

I love my Chameleon. Had it new when DS was born and we still use it for him now that he's 2 - I and other Chameleon owners are the only people I know who only have one pushchair/buggy, everyone else has bought at least one other because they found some problems.

DC2 is due in March and we'll be giving it a good clean, ordering a new crossbar and using it for another 2-3 years.

Cannot recommend it highly enough.
