Maclaren: Quest or Triumph

Now that DD is 3 months old we're looking for a lightweight stroller to use on public transport in and around London. DH is adamant it must be a Maclaren - the Triumph and Quest both look suitable but would welcome views on pros and cons of both particularly from perspective of using with a young baby and potentially taking it on the tube!
Many thanks

For a 3 month old I would go for the quest as it reclines more than the triumph and has a leg rest. Weight wise I don't think there is much between the 2. The chassis is the same for both, the only difference is the seat part. As I say the quest reclines more and has the leg rest, the triumph only reclines slightly and has no leg rest. Both good buggies, but I think the triumph is more suited to toddlers.
Why is your dp so set on a Maclaren? I have had cheap umbrella folds and Maclarens and tbh don't see what is so special about Maclarens other than they are a darn sight more expencsive than other umbrella folds.

well done your dh! he is right, maclaren is such better push, much better quality and goes on forever, sell well secondhand and all fabrics incl hood come off for washing. the easiest r/c going too.
for your 3m old def a quest not a triumph no no way! crap seat, no legrest. quest more padded too.

Thanks for all the responses - def want DD to be well supported so Quest it is then.
As for DH's Maclaren preference - he likes to buy British when he can plus all his Dad friends rate them (although none of them could provide the info above about particular models!)

We have a triumph and i really regret not buying the quest now, the seat doesn't recline properly and the straps have a sort of strangling effect on a v. little one, my friend has a quest and it is a much better pushchair

I've been looking at these too today. I need a new one for childminding.
Having read up a bit, im going for the quest. Although I prefer the design of the triumph.
Have you found any good deals on the quest?
