cameleon help!!

We have just brought a bargin 2nd hand cam and so far it is lovely (could do with an unfaded dark blue fleece hood if anyone has one! lol)

BUT just put the carrycot together and it say it can either be used on the chassis or on the floor.... how?? as the bits that clip it onto the fram are lower than the carrycot and the fabric just collapses??

Also we seem to ahve 2 rectangular flat pieces of plastic and no idea what they are for??

These are big flat pieces of plastic! Having googled i think i am missing 2 small 'rods' like rulers to go either end of the carrycot fabric??

Have found the rod bits to go either end of the carrycot, but what are the big plastic rectangles for?

Also the handle bar seems to have some give (moves up about an inch ! suppose) when the chassis is all put together - is this normal or is there a falut with it?

The plastic rectangles fit in a slot on side I think somewhere on the carrycot, just to give support will have a look when baby wakes up it's in his room. The handlebar is perfectly normal moving up and down like that, everyone I've tried does it.

Thanks so much if you could have a look that would be great! The only place I haven't looked for a slot is under the matress, to see if they can slot in there up the sides of the carrycot? hmmm

Have looked and the bits I am thinking of are the 'ruler' bits at either end. I got a big plastic rectangle like a sheet of card when I got a new bee last week. I thought it was packaging as it was on top of box and have thrown it away! Maybe they kept the packaging not knowing what it was?
My carrycot will not stand up alone on the floor I didn't think they were supposed to. They have to be on the frame, on the pram IIRC.
