Sorry to hear about your DP's grandad BExie, Massive hugs to you and your family.

We are still waiting to hear when my uncle's funeral is. There was a delay getting the death certificate as he donated his organs and that all had to be completed first.

I am never one to dwell on death tbh. It is upsetting, but I'd rather remember a person because they lived, rather than that they died iykwim. My uncle has left behind a lovely present by being an organ donor.

T'is very quiet in the shed!

FlyMeToDunoon · 22/09/2010 11:14

I'm taking a break my friends as my pushchair days are over and the laptop was taking up too much of my time.
Take care.
Smile

nicolamumof3 · 22/09/2010 11:20

morning everyone. Sorry to hear that dunoon but totally understand i am finding myself on here much less during the day. Still in evenings tho! Keep in touch on fb?

basl · 22/09/2010 11:28

Well everyone i was going to ask if this thread is no more. One by one everyone drifting away. Wouldn't it be funny if there was a new pushchair shed with all new mums and pram buying. I would love to read that. Well if all going well and i still have a party for my 40th maybe we can catch up then. Rather sad i think as i have loved this last part of 5years blethering on here but yes i agree dunoon. Time to get butt in gear. Just like my nice phsyco lady said.

Take care Dunoon and it has been an absolute pleasure to chat with you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

nicolamumof3 · 22/09/2010 12:06

yes tis true we can chat on fb anyways and email. Basl when are you thinking of having party? As im thinking of having Tates in new year now and was thinking 8th Jan but that date was ringing a bell in my head for some reason!

horsemadgal · 22/09/2010 12:10

Got my mouse for netbook wooooo.
Oh dear though, are we disbanding? Looks like I made it just in time. Wink

Sorry Bexie and 5in for your losses. My aunt died on Saturday so we have her funeral tomorrow. My friends mum died also last week but I'm missing her funeral today as DS1 sick. Too much of it about, all we seem to hear. Sad

nicolamumof3 · 22/09/2010 12:30

oh hmg that is v.sad Sad

5inthebed · 22/09/2010 13:14

Is this the end of the pushchair shed? Shock

I am nearing my end of pushchairs as well. DS3 wants to walk more, so after this winter we will be giving them up.

Sorry to hear about your unt HMG.

My uncles funeral is Monday.

DPs Grandad has been ill, so wasn't sudden. I'm just glad he got to meet the kids back in July.

Hehe, i'll still be here chatting to myself Grin. FB is ok to stay in touch, although the chat feature on it is pants. My user ID is same as here, if anyone wants to add me who hasn't.

I sold Skate today as well, woohoo. Gonna take the Graco to the baby charity shop as well as it doing ma head in. I still want a Superlite.

basl · 22/09/2010 13:47

I know what you mean HMG it is all i seem to hear just now. I young girl i know in her 30's who has 4 children has been having a bit of a struggle with her life, caring for her mother and a very turbulent relationship which she could cope with no more has thrown herself off the Forth Road Bridge. So it was awful at the toddler group today with everyone very upset. I will have been at 3 funerals this month alone.

nicolamumof3 · 22/09/2010 13:54

Shock thats dreadful basl

bexie..some pram talk thats the spirit..you should get a superlite but maybe in the spring? not sure how much protection they will provide come winter, i would say you could have mine but keeping for dc4 now! It is one of my all time favourites i just love using it...nearly got enough in pp for a liner now..so have to decide colour..yellow, blue or red hmm.

BexieID · 22/09/2010 15:56

I used my fastfold over 2 winters, first winter with the Micralite muff and then I got Kaiser for the 2nd winter. Was fine as no snow, lol. Not sure how it (or cdrive) would cope with snow, with the little wheels. The Skate was a nightmare in woods. Will start using my urban after the October half term, get everything else put away in shed for winter.

I will most likely wait until spring to get a Superlite as i'm secretly hoping Micralite will do purple hoods/liners Grin I've seen yellow in real life and wasn't as bright as I had thought. You have blue hood?

nicolamumof3 · 22/09/2010 15:59

yes blue so what do you think? kiddicare are cheapest for liners but don't have blue grrrr!

maxybrown · 22/09/2010 16:18

Thought I would pop on and say Hi if that's ok? Smile

Me too - pushchair days are over, but I have to say I seem to be getting everywhere quicker Shock

I need to stay off computer too so I can get things done!

Hope everyone ok x

nicolamumof3 · 22/09/2010 16:59

i was thinking things not been the same since you left maxy. We do miss you. you are missing puzzle piece!

Is ds not using pushchair at all? Thats good going as you don't drive. Luka will have his for a while yet. Like today he's shattered after nursery and Terry taken them both to TKD he wouldn't have walked there and back.

maxybrown · 22/09/2010 17:37

Blush oh thank you

No not at all, he hasn't used one since he was forced into the Nipper on hols - he has ALWAYS hated them though to be honest - AND I'm getting him in bed earlier - yay! I think it helps that never once in his life as he asked to go in his pushchair - he can't believe his luck Grin he walked all day yesterday. tell you what though, that bloomin micro scooter - can't keep up with him now after me thinking he'd never get to grips with it, i'm huffing and puffing behind and yelling STOP!!!

I just miss the pushchair for bags!! I don't think I'm ready to go into shopping trolley mode yet - need to think of something else - if anyone has any suggestions? Cos my shoulder is killing me!

5inthebed · 22/09/2010 18:12

Good to see you Smile. How is James doing talk wise?

Basl, how awful! Those poor kiddies.

OP posts:
maxybrown · 22/09/2010 18:20

Basl - just been reading - how very very sad Sad poor woman too, goodness knows how she must have been feeling.

Thanks 5in, lovely Smile

James can now say Mummy! Not mamam or armmee (well still sometimes armmee lol) but he is having some one on one speech therapy with a really nice lady which started yesterday. They have applied for a place at the speech unit school for him too and after easter we will be invited in for two weeks whilst they asess him in the school - that's how they decide which children relly need the place,so fingers crossed. Will be a bit of a trek for us but worth it. They said we could have a taxi for him - but a) I would feel extremely cheeky and b) not sure if i would be happy with him doing that at still 3 Sad

5inthebed · 22/09/2010 18:34

Oh Maxy I know exactly how you feel. DS2 went to an ASD assessment nursery and I had to put him in a taxi from day 1 Sad. But look at him now, he is in MS school! So fingers crossed for James, he might just get al the help he can get in those short weeks he is there :)

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 22/09/2010 20:17

we have a lovely school here with a speech therapy unit children travel from all over kent to it. But last year apparently they only had two children?

Another busy evening for us we did food shop late so boys went straight in bath after then had treat of watching gruffalo in bed whilst i put the shopping away. Just had yummy chicken korma.
