Happy birtday Nicola Grin

Dunoon, I love my slow cooker. My dad bought me one last year, it is great.

Nicola, I would love your black XT....but I've had one before and didn't like the silver strip on the hood.

I want, no need a superlite, and so I'm going to try get the funds together for one pretty soon. In no hurry for one, so I'll bide my time and buy new.

Happy Birthday Nicola!

We have a slow cooker still sealed in box, lol. No room to have it out. Same with the ice cream maker, sandwich toaster etc... Hmm

DP & Tom got stung by wasps friday night whilst walking MIL dog (she dug out a nest) and they followed them home. Dog had them all in her fur and shes not been too good. DP & Tom are ok, but poor Carrie. I was just going to refer to their dog as dog to avoid confusion with carrielou, but didn't want you guys thinking she didn't have a name Grin

I've eaten my bacon/egg rolls (cuz F1 on and it's something me and DP have kept up since going to Silverstone) and now going to sit and watch and do as much ironing as I can before Erin wakes up.

Happy birthday Nicola!

Bexie hope the dog perks up.

I bought the Cookworks slow cooker today. Enormous!

GeekOfTheWeek · 12/09/2010 18:56

Happy birthday Nicola Smile

FlyMe, I have a slow cooker and I swear its the best thing ever. An absolute godsend in winter months. Yummy stews, casseroles and joints of brisket. Om nom nom.

I have bought a cameleon and pick it up wed or thus Shock Its a real bargain. Need to change the fabrics though! Not sure that Jack will appreciate hot pink fleece.

nicolamumof3 · 12/09/2010 19:11

dunoon, i bid on your liner trying to get it up a bit for you! Blush

FlyMeToDunoon · 12/09/2010 20:32

Grin thank you Nicola. It sold for an ok price. Did you win it.....goes off to check.

5inthebed · 12/09/2010 20:40

Nice one Geek!

I've been painting my downstairs bathroom today, two coats of paint. It looks lovely now. Was an awful sky blue, now it is frosted steel. It has a lovely purple hint to it. Gorgeous!

Nice 5in. I wanted a purple-ish pale grey bedroom once but couldn't find the right colour.

GeekOfTheWeek · 12/09/2010 21:00

Sounds lovely 5in. Hows everything going with your new home?

nicolamumof3 · 12/09/2010 21:09

oooh i bet thats nice 5in, have you taken lots of before pics? then we can see it all when its done? bet you've done a fab job.

no dunoon i didn't win it. i want a liner still even tho i know it will drive me nuts. can't wait to hear what your snunkie like wonder how long it will be?

horsemadgal · 12/09/2010 21:13

Oo I'm sure that's the paint we got (THAT IS STILL LYING IN THE GARAGE THANKS DH!) for our bedroom and kitchen. Looks nice.

5inthebed · 12/09/2010 21:18

Niola, I only took before and after pics of the kitchen. Will try upoad them at some point.

Bathroom looks lovely, its exactly the colour I wanted. Still can't believe we've got a house. I keep expecting someone to knock on my door and tell me it was a mistake.

The neighbours are lovely, th tak my bins out and bring them back in, I don;t even get a chance to do it. Our street is quite long, just over 250 houses, but we live on a little green that only has 6 houses on it. The other 5 houses are private, mine is the only council one. All the other people have grown up kids, we are the only ones with little kids. It's so lovely and quiet here. I just love it!

nicolamumof3 · 13/09/2010 09:44

Thanks Diva!

Well thats it my big boy Tate away to school! Going to miss having him around, he was so excited to go off bless him, im so happy he's confident boy. Luka was upset to not stay, but we are going to swimming lesson in a minute.

FlyMeToDunoon · 13/09/2010 10:52

I am on my own as DD3 finally back at nursery. Bliss!
Packed up ebay sales and having a nice cuppa before heading for the post office and pick up from nursery.
Time flies.....

Divatheshopaholic · 13/09/2010 10:52

Morning all,
Nicola, i left ds this morning at school he cried and ran after me, the teacher at the door hold onto him, and door was closed behind meSad
I still hear him crying "Mamma, mamma" I wanted go back but i didnt, i just could, i felt like i will regret it. I feel really bad mummy now[cry]SadSad

nicolamumof3 · 13/09/2010 12:19

oh dunoon must be blissfull enjoy it. how often is she at nursery? Luka now goes every afternoon so as from next week i will have every afternoon free!

diva please don't worry yourself, if they couldn't settle him they would call you. I know how distressing it is as i had this with luka last september he cried every time i took him..for 3months it was awful. But i knew he had good time there and enjoyed it really. its just as hard on us mums if not harder i think, can't wait to see tate in an hour.

FlyMeToDunoon · 13/09/2010 13:07

DD goes 4 mornings. I would have done 5 but the walking might be too much for me. Shattered now after walking it 4 times today already. Should have got the bus back really but it was a nice day.

nicolamumof3 · 13/09/2010 13:13

where is nursery then, long walk? im so grateful school and nursery just 5mins away.

FlyMeToDunoon · 13/09/2010 13:20

1.4 miles for me now, to school. Might be slightly shorter as we cut across Calverly Park. Drop DD2 at school and then walk down Mount Sion to nursery.
If I walk up London Road back home it's shorter but steep hill

basl · 13/09/2010 13:59
