Quinny Buzz - opinions?

A friend is selling hers - £150. Its in good condition, and comes with shopping basket, changing back and footmuff. So would have to buy sunshade and rain cover.

So firstly; is this a good price?

Secondly - has anyone had / is using this buggy at the moment? What are the pros and cons?

I'm currently using a much bigger buggy because I need to lean my weight on it; would I be able to do this with the Buzz?

Have you asked her why she is selling it?The main reason I hear about people getting rid of them is they find them too wide at the back and are getting fed up of knocking everything off racks/ shelves in shops.

Does she have the shopping basket with it as well?

Her son is a year now and she's decided she wants a smaller stroller-type buggy. It can't be much wider than the one I have now Though thank you for the warning.

Yes, she has the shopping basket, and rain cover apparently, I misread that. Its six months old.

I just sold mine on ebay for £200 with the carrycot as well.

Yes, I think leaning on it would be ok but try one in the shops (mothercare?) and see.

I liked it cos it was rearfacing, but got rid as my dd just goes in the stroller now (20 months).

I had one and loved the look of it and the way it handled, but i changed it because i found it too heavy and bulky when folded up.. took up lots a boot space and also it didn't carry enough shopping even with the shopping basket.. basket just not deep enough. Oh and I found when infant was tilted back for napping her legs were tilted upwards too much. If these things don't affect you then go for it... great price

if its the newest model, then £150 with a footmuff is a fair price, if its the older model with a toggle fastening to keep the frame closed, then you are paying slightly over the odds I think. If its the really old model with the round hood with silver inside, then its way too much money.
You would also need to weigh up how much you value knowing the prams history though, as the security of knowing where its been/ has it been looked after, you cant put a price on.

As to whether you will like it - its very wide, tends to be heavy to steer as baby gets bigger, particularly when rear facing as all the weight is on the front wheel.
Rubbish off road, can take a while to get used to folding, brakes can be prone to sticking, and the basket is naff. also most women will have to take the seat off to get it in the boot as it is pretty heavy and unwieldy to lift.
Balance all this against its superb looks, its a fantastic fashion statement.

I have a love/hate relationship with mine.

Loved it when DD was little and was in pram mode as so cosy and she slept so well in it.

In pushchair mode it's OK at best. She's comfortable enough in it and I like that it can be rear-facing but it is wide at the back (actually not sure it's that much wider than other pushcahirs but because the wheels are a LOT wider than the seat unit I seem to mis-judge and crash into things a lot).

It's also heavy and a complete bloody ball ache to fold up and get in and out of the car. Takes up all of my boot (BMW 1 Series) when folded.

Shopping basket is a waste of bloody time.

However, its good for uneven city terrain and would be good to lean on as is super sturdy. Also the bag that attaches to the frame is pretty handy.

I have to say if I had my time again I don't think I'd buy one.

i have one and LOVE it,depending on why your folding it(bus/small boot/big boot) i find mine easy to fold,and lightweight because its in 2 pieces.i wouldnt use it on the bus,
my ds is 22m and he loves it because forward facing the seatr unit it totally upright,i would still have him rearfacing,but it doesnt sit upright rear facing,if he is tired i will put him rearfacing,so he can nap.

price is ok if its the newest model,esp as it has the cosytoes as they are about £30 alone,i have the older model in black reflection fabric,its worth £100 ish with all accessories.

I had one for about 3 weeks before getting rid of it, I was keen to have a pushchair that could be rear-facing. I found it was useless off tarmac, even if it was a gravelled path, the handle felt rickety and flimsy. I had had a quinny freestyle 3 before which I had loved as it was really robust and went everywhere but was not rear-facing.

I would see if you can give it a go for a day 1st.

My sister has one and she finds it heavy and hard to fold..though it is very comfy for her 15month son
