Bugaboo Bee or Maclaren XT

Hi there,
Looking for some sensible advice on which of these to get...short version of our story is that we have a P&T Vibe, bought on the basis that we'd like to have more than one kid and live near big river path and love walking etc, and it's been a total nightmare. DD is now 4 months old and it's been back with P&Ts for a month whilst front wheel gets sorted. And even when I have it, it's just SO wide that I can't get on to any london bus or into many shops/cafes so is hugely restrictive for day to day use. And whilst it's been back with P&Ts, John Lewis have lent us a Bugaboo Bee (clever of them, hey!) and I have, of course, totally fallen in love with it. It's just SO easy to get around with. No more backache from having to push great big pram, can go where I want without having to worry and DD seems to LOVE being in it. So now that our Vibe is mended I can't really face life without it and am v v tempted to get one, which is hugely extravagant. And DH thinks it's a ridiculous idea and suggests Maclaren, which obviously makes a lot of sense at £300 less...but I love the fact that I can see DD and she can face me as we go around and she looks v comfortable lying flat and sleeping in it. And it feels sturdier than Maclaren and my thoughts are that if we have no.2 and I want to take baby by itself then I'd feel happier with a newborn in a bee than in a maclaren. But am I just being ridiculous and should we just get Maclaren?? What are your thoughts? Thanks so much!

I love my bee, so I would buy one if you can afford it!

There is a 20% off code for mothercare, which JL would also match (did for me anyway) so then it would be £370 ish if that helps?

At mothercare there is 20% off with VCW which may put the bee into the affordable zone again.
I like baby's to be able to face you, i've seen a 2 year old nearly choke whilst the mother was chatting oblivious to him, i figure if they are in front of you, you are more aware of them and who wants to chat to the back of a head.

If your baby is only 4 months old I'd get the Bee, a Maclaren is more a toddler pushchair IMO

Thanks all - exactly what I wanted to hear - and 20% off is brilliant - so good to know about that.
