Can you give me a list of tandems to look at?

I need a tandem for a heavy toddler/newborn baby. Can anyone suggest their favourite brands so I can check them out and see if they'd suit us too?
Looking for something light and manouverable, possibly all terrain - our paths are rubbish and we do like to do country walks at weekends.

How about a Phil & Teds? Quite pricey but seem to hold their value well so could maybe sell it after? I didn't have 1 (I went for a v cheap 2nd hand mothercare tandem which suited my needs). I did have a push of a Phil & Ted's 1 though & v nice to push!

my toddler is big for 17months and we have a britax dual. looks big but light as a phil and teds. great pram!!!

Where are you? I'm selling my Jane Powertwin Pro... lime green and aqua blue with newborn carseat which clips into frame. Fab buggy... cost around £550 new and hardly used. I'm in Cheshire if that helps.

Sorry cheshire would be too far. Thanks for the offer though. I will look at that model.
I will look at 2nd hand i think to save a bit also. I don't need a car seat, we have one suitable for a new baby. Mostly the pram will be used for walking from home to school and back, some shopping (for groceries) and weekend walks.
The Jane looks really good.

I have found a solution! The Mutsy Duo Rider seat!!! I already have a Mutsy 4Rider light - and although in our country (UK) the duo seat is only really supposed to be on the "Urban Rider" chassis (we have very strict safety regs!) - in the USA They use the Duo Rider Seat on the 4 Rider Light chassis - so it is doable if not recommended.

I guess with care and bearing in mind the weights of children and supervision (never taking hand off buggy when both children are seated) I will manage this way.

Our toddler will not be up to using the step on board yet - for the very long distances we walk.

I'm so thrilled to have found for me a relatively inexpensive solution. Plus it will fit in my door and not take up too much room! (and as I already own the chassis not too much more to spend).

Oh, and it will fit - as all the mutsy seats have the same click in and out system - so if anyone else wants one - you can buy a Mutsy chassis of your choice and then single, double or fun seat - although I do emphasise the duo (double) seat is NOT recommended to be used on anything other than the Mutsy Urban Rider Chassis in the UK.

hi, if you go on strollersandprams there is some more info, the chassis they use is the single spoke one though as its stronger but there is a lady on there with it on a multispoke one but it does tip or something.

i did have a duo seat on the urban rider chassis a few years ago, its not that comfy and massive but even i have been tempted with putting it on a lightrider chassis as the urban rider is a monster and really hard to push.
