It says that it will take a newborn in the seat? What do you guys think? I may just get a second hand old pram thing for the first few months as well as this.

Looks like it can face you with a new born which seams odd. Properly best to find a shop with it it may be difficult to push.

I read through and it say's suitable from newborn when used with Maxi Cosi Car Seat so don't think the actual pram seat is suitable from birth.

Or that's how it read to me anyway.

Oooh its out, I wanted a rear facer that folds small but I don't know about this one!

I also read it that it was suitable from newborn with the car seat attached which suggests that the seat unit isn't?????

June 22nd, 2010 Dorel have just announced the launch of the Quinny Zapp Xtra, the new Quinny Zapp Xtra features the same light weight chassis but now has the addition on a seat unit which will recline and is suitable from birth. The new Quinny Zapp Xtra?s seat unit will also face the parent for those all important first few months. The Zapp Xtra will be supplied with car seat adapters for all Maxi cosi infant carriers, a hood and rain cover and the now optional Zapp basket. The Quinny Zapp Xtra will be available from late July this year.

I'm afraid the wind would blow it over with a newborn in it! I never pushed a zapp before but have always loved the look of them.

Okay, I checked this in a baby R US and it is absolutely fab BUT you can only put the new born baby in it for max of two hours as the seat doesn't go compeletly flat! Be careful as this info is not provided by all shop sales reps as it is not formally shared. I digged as the seat is not flat and when you look at it you wonder where you put a new born to have a flat back? The seat is from soft cover and doesn't provide support for new born's back as well. This issue is not resolved by using/buying the cosy toes as the cosy toe is also from soft material and doesn't really fill the groove in the seat (where a toddler's bum would sit). So I asked and aksed around and insisted to get confirmation that this is okay for a new born and then the answer was: yes for up to 2 hours and this time includes the time you have the new born in a car seat if your car seat has the same limitation. So if you drive half an hour to somewhere, you can only use the pushchair for an hour as you have to drive back for another half an hour! So be careful!!!
