What is better than a bugaboo

6 years ago I bought a bugaboo for DD and loved it.

Eventually after DC2&3 it was given away and now here I am expecting DC4 and need a new buggy.

I loved my bugaboo (the only downside being not very compact when folded) but can I do better? There seems to be a lot on the market these days so no idea where to start.

Only requirement is that it must have a proper carrycot for newborn.

Yes - had a quick look online and quite like the look of the cherry.

Don't think I've ever seen one in RL though and wondering if I ought to just stick with waht I know unless someone has got some good advice to the contrary....

Well that is good to know...

Have to admit sticking with a bugaboo would make sense, particularly as I have been offered a second hand freebie.

But it is easy to get carried away when I see all those lovely shiny new models....

a teutonia? we have the spirit s3 and i love it. had an original bugaboo for childminding and i didn't get on with it! the small wheels used to get stuck when i was using it in mucky conditions, but it was nice to have a rf seat. the teutonia has 3 or 4 different carrycot options and is rf. it can also be folded in one piece with the carrycot and seat unit on but is heavy to lift into the car.

get the 2nd hand freebie and when baby is older treat yourself to a bugaboo bee for in the car/on buses etc

I havent found anything better than a bugaboo yet. I've seen stuff that LOOKS funkier, nicer colours etc. but never found anything to match it for comfort for child, ease of pushing, and lightness to lift.

I'd probably stick with a bugaboo - it is pricey - but I don't think you'll get a more versatile and useful option. If you are driving or walking and don't need to fold for public transport it seems ideal!

I would take the 2nd hand freebie and consider the bee+ for a one piece compact fold (urban environments only) or the Micralite superlite if you're not fussed about completely flat layback or parent facing.

I have a neighbour with an icandy cherry, looks good and lightweight; but she really struggled during all the snow and ice last winter. Get snow wheels for the free bugaboo!

My friend has an i candy. Its heavy, bulky and looks cheap.

get the URBO form M*P - its sweet but mainly for urban stuff and chassis is very rigid

Get the bugaboo, if you have had one and you know you love it, get it!! I went through many buggies for my dd until I got the bug, I have had several for ds too but his main buggy there was no question had to be a bug.

I have two - well three, two cams and a bee+. I boughtthe urbo, lovely buggy but it wasn't a bee so it went!! I don't think it matters how much something costs, if it is 50 pounds or 500 pounds, if you have found something you know you like then you are sorted

We recently bought the iCandy Cherry at the last minute, having obsessed over the Bugaboo Bee for MONTHS!! Now I have it, I am thinking of getting the Bee... as well! (...if anyone has one second hand they want to sell, please let me know!). I know that's a bit indulgent but to be honest they're both ace for different reasons. Cherry is better value in terms of what you get for the same price, it feels more robust and would be more comfortable for a bigger or taller baby / toddler. It's really lightweight and easy to move around with one hand, but the Bee just pips it in that department. For nipping into town / travelling where you need to save space in the car, or doing something quick the Bee is the best. If you got to get off-road or need a bit more room to carry your shopping, or your baby likes a bit of space to sleep then the Cherry rocks it! The carry-cot is also lovely but my 3month old baby is now too big for it. My one and only criticism of the Cherry is that the shopping basket, while big, is quite tricky to get stuff in and out of - in terms of ease of putting it up and down it's brilliant.
We live in a Victorian terrace with a narrow doorway and the Cherry goes in & out easily... but we've had to move the shoe rack, whereas we probably could have left it where it was with the Bee. I know that sounds like a trivial thing but it's a bit annoying

I have the iCandy Cherry. I think it does pretty much the same thing as a Bugaboo but for less money, slightly smaller, wheels less huge, and much much much easier to fold and unfold. The colours are quite nice too, I have 'fudge' and when you add the coordinating footmuff it looks really smart.

What about the brand new Baby Jogger City Select, absolutely stunning looking pushchair, easier to push than a Bugaboo and one exceptionally head turning pushchair!!!!!
It can be folded small with seat unit on it, the brake is on the chassis by the handle and it's very user friendly. Well worth having a look at plus it has the ability to have second seat unit etc added to it if it was ever necessary in the future.

We are also looking at the bugaboo but am not sure if the cham or the bee is a better all rounder. Looking to use it from birth for as long as possible. What are the merits of each?

Have you looked at the stokke? Very ergonomic, tall and stylish.

hi, was also looking a the stokke love the idea and the high but we live in the country so with the stokke wheels I don't think it's going to be worth the money.Teutonia cosmo or bugaboo think the teutonia has far better wheels but bugaboo is a lille lighter..
