Pushchairs
Talk to me about what pushcahir I want now!

We have the quinny buzz and I hate it (brought it from ebay in a PFB fog!). Was fine as a pram but too big really and now DD is in pushchair bit it is annoying me even more!
DD is 5months and long! But I also plan on having more kids so don't really want to keep buying more pushchairs (unless of course we decide sooner rather than later and go for a double buggy!- but erm no!). So possibly something suitable from birth but will last DD a long time too!
Anyhow I just want something, smaller and lighter and folds up easier to fit in boot of a corsa with space for other stuff! I really would prefer parent facing.
Public transport suitability used to be important but we are now leaving london and moving so will be walking/car more now.
Advice please- I am toying with either an icandy cherry or a bugaboo, I know mnetters swear by the maclaren xlr but it isnt parent facing is it?

What about the new Quinny Zap Xtra, it can recline and reverse and is out at the end of this month?
Thandeka · 14/07/2010 08:18
pushchair even! blush!
WIll have a look at the qunniy zap though gone off quinny's now! The zap folds much smaller than the buzz doesn't it?
waitingforbedtime · 14/07/2010 08:25
Yeah the Quinny is the smallest folding one I think.
Ive never had Quinny before but am looking into getting the Zapp Xtra. Think it retails at about £200. There's not much info on the net about it, someone on here told me about it.

hmmm doing some research existing quinny zapp has no storage for shopping and the tiny space on the buzz pisses me off so another requirement is a shopping basket bigger than the buzz. cor i really do want the moon on a stick don't i!

We all do unfortunately! If you want the XLR - you could always buy the soft carrycot for it? I love the xlr - my fave Maclaren but not small, even when folded - it is very long! But i do love it.
TBH I always found best to have a pram/RF pushchair seat and a stroller. I loved the SilverCross sleepover - is pram come pushchair - you can get liner chassis (swivel wheels) or classic - bouncy. I have had both the classic is heavy but lovely.
My DS was a midget and fitted in the SC even as pram mode for ages. It is also good enough as a pushchair for toddler to lie down in too........I have some pics somewhere

hmm maybe I will just buy a stroller too then and live with the annoyances of the Quinny.
I will focus on the positives- it spins on a 50p, is a smooth comfy ride for DD, it looks cool and smaller than it is(which is why I was conned)
