legal costs putting in offer for a house in scotland

Can anyone give me a rough idea of the legal costs involved in getting a lawyer to put an offer on a house for you in the Scottish system?

off the top of my head, around £1000 to complete a sale? our solicitor offered a package where it was a flat rate for buying with up to three offers included (we used all three to finally get our current house).
