Colour ideas for skirting between the living room and dining room?

It’s hard to understand what you’re asking; do you mean the six inches of skirting at the bottom of the opening into the dining room?
Also it’s impossible to see the existing colour because of the lighting.

Same as the skirting board colour in the rest of the rooms - ideally white.

Do you mean the architrave? What is the colour in each room? What is your style - minimalist would go white maximalist would go colour. Which way do the rooms face? So many questions need answering.

I think you’ve colour drenched the other room. I’d do all skirtings white, always, full stop.
