Recommend me a lovely non flowery scented candle please?

I'm fed up of buying scented candles which smell nice in the tin but horrible when you light them; I must have at least 20, and they're not cheap.
Can anyone recommend something warm, woody, deep, velvety (I know those aren't smell words!!), not sweet, flowery and sickly please?

I have the White Company’s “Fireside”, which was a gift and which I thought might smell oppressively of bonfires - but it’s actually very mellow, woody, with a hint of vanilla. Though I know vanilla is one of those scents which some people find calming and others find too sweet.

There is a lovely company called gruum.... they have some fantastic smelling candles. They did a birthday cake one that smells like raspberry jam and vanilla 🤤
