Hi all, looking for quick experiences with manager discretionary reviews!
Accepted on Home-Link via an IDVA referral (fleeing DA). Standard rules give us a 2-bed for my boy and girl, but my daughter turns 10 in Feb when rules state they need separate rooms anyway. Taking a 2-bed now means a secondary move sometime after 6 months (my current council was already allowing me to bid on 3 beds on tbe build up to her birthday).
I’ve requested a manager review for a 3-bed now (happy to cover any short-term bedroom tax gap) and my IDVA is sending a supporting letter.
Has anyone had a housing manager approve an extra room in a situation like this? Any hope?
Thanks!
