How can I get a neighbouring landlord to repair his roof?

My neighbour's property needs reroofing badly - I've been up in a hoist and have pictures - there are holes in it, the patches that have been done are badly done. There is vegetation like a forest round his chimney stack.

What steps do I take to get him to fix it?

We are both landlords (honestly I'm a good one). He's not really engaged in the past and I'm not even sure he's living in the area any more.

Is it causing an issue for your property or are you just concerned for his/his tenant? Terraced I presume?

If it's the first you may have some recourse, otherwise, over to his tenant.

The first. But it must also be affecting his tenant.
